Բնապահպանության նախարարությունը Սեւանա լճից ջրառի ծավալների ավելացման վերաբերյալ չէր կարող չարձանագրել, որ այն կարող է ունենալ բացասական ազդեցություն: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին ԱՄՆ ՄԶԳ կողմից ֆինանսավորվող «Ջրային ռեսուրսների մասնակցային եւ արդյունավետ օգտագործում» խորագրով ծրագրի մեկնարկին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց Բնապահպանության նախարար Արծվիկ Մինասյանը:

 «Այլ բան է, երբ խոսում ենք օրենքի ընդունման վերաբերյալ արտահայտած կարծիքի մասին, որովհետեւ օրենքով թույլ է տրվում ջրառի իրականացումը: Օրենքի հիման վրա տրված մեր կարծիքը հետեւյալն էր. այո, օրենքով այն նախատեսված է, սակայն դրա համար անհրաժեշտ է պատշաճ հիմնավորումներ ներկայացնել: Եւ այդ հիմնավորմանը մեր կողմից տրված կարծիքը հիմք է հանդիսացել, որպեսզի հետագայում Ջրային տնտեսության պետական կոմիտեն ու կառավարության մեր մյուս գործընկերները փոխեին օրենքի նախագիծը եւ ներկայացնեին այդ հիմնավորումները: Դրանք ներկայումս առկա են: Ավելին, եղանակային կանխատեսումները եւ սպասվող երաշտի բարձր հավանականությունը հնարավորություն տալիս են այդպիսի որոշում կայացնելու: Սակայն մենք շարունակում ենք պահպանել մեր դիրքորոշումը, որ կա բացասական ազդեցության ռիսկի հավանականություն՝ մասնավորապես, դրական հաշվեկշռի առումով: Մենք մեր տեսակետը չենք փոխել»,-եզրափակեց նա:
