Զբաղվածությանը վերաբերող հարցերը Հայաստանի տնտեսության առաջնահերթ խնդիրներից են: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` այս մասին նշված է 2017 թվականի Հայաստանի ազգային մրցունակության զեկույցում: Ըստ զեկույցի` 2015 թվականին Հայաստանում տնտեսական ակտիվության միջին մակարդակը կազմել է 62.5 տոկոս:

«2010-2016 թվականներին Հայաստանում աշխատանքային ռեսուրսները և զբաղվածության մակարդակը նվազել են մոտ 15 տոկոսի չափով` գլխավորապես պայմանավորված արտագաղթով և ժողովրդագրական կառուցվածքային տեղաշարժերով, որոնք նվազեցրել են աշխատանքային տարիքի խումբ մտնող երիտասարդների թիվը»,- ասված է զեկույցում:

 Զեկույցի համաձայն` մյուս կողմից, սակայն, հետճգնաժամային շրջանում տնտեսական ակտիվության մակարդակը միջինում ավելի բարձր է եղել, քան նախաճգնաժամային շրջանում:

« Աճը բացատրող գործոններից են` կանանց տնտեսական ակտիվության մակարդակի բարձրացումը (55.1% 2015 թվականին` 2005 թվականի 48.5%-ի դիմաց), Ռուսաստանի տնտեսության դժվարին իրավիճակը և դեպի Ռուսաստան սեզոնային արտագնա աշխատողների թվի նվազումը»,- նշված է զեկույցում:

Ընդհանուր առմամբ՝ վերջին տարիներին նկատվող տնտեսական ակտիվության մակարդակի անկումն աշխարհում և հակառակ միտումը Հայաստանում վերջինիս կատարողականը մոտեցրել են համաշխարհային մակարդակին` փակելով նախաճգնաժամային շրջանի բացը:

2000-ական թվականներից սկսած` Հայաստանը շարունակաբար ունեցել է գործազրկության երկնիշ մակարդակ` տատանվելով 15-20%-ի միջակայքում: 2016 թվականի դրությամբ գործազրկության մակարդակը եղել է 18% (աշխարհի միջին մակարդակից եռակի անգամ բարձր) պայմանավորված ճգնաժամային և հետճգնաժամային տնտեսական միտումներով:

Ինչպես նշված է զեկույցում, գործազրկության ամենաբարձր մակարդակը երիտասարդների շրջանում է. «20-24 տարիքային խմբի շրջանում այն հասնում է 34.5%-ի, իսկ 25-29 տարիքային խմբի շրջանում` 24.3%-ի: Կրթությունից աշխատաշուկա անցումն ապահովող արդյունավետ ուղիների պակասը, մասնավորապես` փոքր քաղաքներում, երիտասարդների շրջանում գործազրկության հիմնական գործոններից է»:
