Առնվազն 83 մարդ է զոհվել հորդառատ անձրեւների, ջրհեղեղների ու սողանքների հետեւանքով Հնդկաստանի Ասսամ, Արունաչալ- Փրադեշ, Նագալենդ ու Մանիպուր նահանգներում։ Reuters-ի տվյալներով, մոտ երկու միլիոն մարդ ստիպված է եղել լքել իր տները։

Հնդկաստանի վարչապետ Նարենդրա Մոդին կարգադրել է գնահատել վնասը։ Տարերքի զոհերն են դարձել նաեւ կենդանիները, այդ թվում երեք հազվագյուտ ռնգեղջյուր։
