Սուդանի նախագահ Օմար ալ-Բաշիրը դադարեցրել է Խարթումի դեմ սահմանված պատժամիջոցների չեղարկման շուրջ Վաշինգտոնի հետ բանակցությունները, ինչից հետո ԱՄՆ-ն եւս երեք ամսով երկարաձգել է էմբարգոն: Այս մասին գրում է AFP-ն:

ԱՄՆ նախագահ Դոնալդ Թրամփը Սուդանի դեմ սահմանված պատժամիջոցների վերանայման ժամկետը երկարաձգել է մինչեւ հոկտեմբերի 12-ը: Ենթադրվում է, որ մինչ այդ Թրամփի վարչակազմը կկողմնորոշվի, արդյո՞ք պետք է վերջնականապես չեղարկել դրանք:

Սպիտակ տան նախկին ղեկավար Բարաք Օբաման հունվարին մեղմացրել էր պատժամիջոցները, բայց հարցի քննարկումը հետաձգել էր վեց ամսով. ժամկետը լրացավ հուլիսի 12-ին:

Օմար ալ-Բաշիրը դադարեցրել է ԱՄՆ-ի հետ բանակցություններ վարող հանձնաժողովի աշխատանքը: Այն ավելի քան մեկ տարի բանակցում էր ամերիկյան պաշտոնատար անձանց հետ՝ 1997 թվականին Խարթումի դեմ սահմանված ամերիկյան առեւտրային էմբարգոն չեղարկելու հարցի շուրջ:
