Երբեք առանց զանգահարելու հյուր մի գնացեք: Եթե ձեզ այցելել են առանց զգուշացնելու, ապա կարող եք ձեզ թույլ տալ հյուրին դիմավորել խալաթով: Մի բրիտանուհի ասում էր, որ երբ անկոչ հյուրեր է ունենում, միշտ կոշիկ է հագնում, վերցնում գլխարկն ու անձրեւանոցը: Եթե հյուրը հաճելի է իրեն, ասում է. «Օյ, ինչ լավ է, ես հենց նոր վերադարձա»: Իսկ եթե տհաճ է՝ «Օյ, ինչ վատ ստացվեց, ես պետք է դուրս գամ»:

Ով էլ լինեք՝ տնօրեն, ակադեմիկոս, տարեց կին կամ դպրոցական, շենք մտնելով՝ առաջինը ողջունեք ներսում գտնվողներին:

Ձեռքսեղմում. ընդունված չէ կանանց ձեռքը սեղմել, բայց եթե նա առաջինն է տղամարդուն պարզել ձեռքը, հարկավոր է սեղմել այն, բայց ոչ այնքան ամուր, որքան տղամարդու ձեռքը:

Ռեստորանում վճարելու կանոնները. եթե ասում եք՝ «Ես ձեզ հրավիրում եմ», նշանակում է՝ դուք եք վճարում: Եթե կինը գործընկերոջը ռեստորան է հրավիրում, նա է վճարում: Եթե հնչում է հետեւյալը՝ «Եկեք ռեստորան գնանք», յուրաքանչուրն իր փոխարեն է վճարում, եւ եթե տղամարդն առաջարկում է վճարել կնոջ փոխարեն, կինը կարող է համաձայնել:

Անձրեւանոցը երբեք բաց վիճակում չեն չորացնում՝ ո՛չ գրասենյակում, ո՛չ հյուր գնալիս: Այն հարկավոր է փակել եւ գնել հատուկ դարակի վրա կամ կախել:

Չի կարելի պայուսակը ծնկներին կամ քո աթոռին դնել: Փոքրիկ կլատչը կարելի է սեղանին դնել, մեծ պայուսակը՝ կախել աթոռից կամ գետնին դնել, եթե հատուկ աթոռակ չկա:

Օծանելիքի օգտագործման ոսկե կանոնը չափավորությունն է: Եթե երեկոյան զգում եք սեփական օծանելիքի հոտը, ուրեմն մյուսներն արդեն խեղդվել են:

Եթե քայլում եք ինչ-որ մեկի հետ, եւ ձեր ուղեկիցը բարեւում է ձեզ անծանոթ մարդու, դուք նույնպես պետք է նրան ողջունեք:

Ցելոֆանե տոպրակները միայն սուպերմարկետից գնումները տուն տանելու համար են, իսկ թղթե ֆիրմային տոպրակները՝ խանութից տուն գնալու համար: Հետո դրանք որպես պայուսակ օգտագործել չի կարելի:

Տղամարդը երբեք կանացի պայուսակ չի բռնում: Իսկ կանացի վերարկուն նրա ձեռքում կարող է հայտնվել՝ ընդամենը մինչեւ հանդերձարան տանելու համար:
