 Ապրիլյան պատերազմի օրերին ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից իրականացված վայրագությունները միջազգային կառույցներին ներկայացնելու  համար  Արցախի Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի կողմից ահռելի փաստահավաք աշխատանք է արվել. հրապարակվելու է  դրանց վերաբերյալ անգլերեն երրորդ զեկույցը: Ազգային ժողովում «2016 թվականի ընթացքում ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի գործունեության, մարդու իրավունքների և ազատությունների պաշտպանության վիճակի մասին» տարեկան հաղորդման քննարկմանն այս մասին ասաց ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արման Թաթոյանը՝ պատասխանելով ՀՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Կորյուն Նահապետյանի հարցին: «Ապրիլյան պատերազմի օրերին ես Արցախի Մարդու իրավունքների նախկին պաշտպանի խնդրանքով Արցախում էի: Մենք իրականացրել ենք փաստահավաք աշխատանքներ, հրապարակվել է Արցախի Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի զեկույցը, որը դրվել է Եվրոպական դատարան ներկայացված գանգատների հիմքում»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ նշեց նա:

Արման Թաթոյանը հավելեց, որ ինքն այդ հարցով քննարկում է ունեցել ՄԱԿ-ի գերագույն հանձնակատարի, Եվրոպայի խորհրդի գլխավոր քարտուղարի հետ: «Այդ առումով բացառիկ էր Եվրոպայի խորհրդի շենքում  Արցախի Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի ասուլիսն այդ զեկույցների շրջանակներում: Ընդհանրապես, այս բնույթի աշխատանքներն այնպիսին են, որ պետք է անընդհատ աշխատանք  տարվի համատեղ ուժերով»,- ասաց Թաթոյանը:

Պատգամավոր Կորյուն Նահապետյանին հետաքրքրում էր, թե ինչ աշխատանքներ են իրականացվել ադրբեջանական զինուժի կողմից վայրագությունների համար մեղավորներին պատասխանատվության ենթարկելու հարցում: Արման Թաթոյանն ընդգծեց, որ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը չի կարող միջազգային դատական ատյաններ դիմել: «Մեր խնդիրն է փաստահավաք աշխատանքներ իրականացնել և դա ներկայացնել միջազգային կառույցներին: Այս հարցում նաև պետք է անընդհատ ցույց տրվի Արցախի մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի կատարած ահռելի աշխատանքը»,- եզրափակեց ՀՀ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը:
