ԱԺ պատգամավոր Ռուստամ Մախմուդյանը ԵԽԽՎ-ում հայաստանյան պատվիրակությունում Գևորգ Կոստանյանին փոխարինելու առաջարկ ստացել է, իր թեկնածության հարցը քննարկվել է, բայց քանի դեռ չկա այս մասին պաշտոնական իրավական փաստաթուղթ, որպես իրավաբան՝ նա իրեն ԵԽԽՎ-ում հայաստանյան պատվիրակի անդամի կարգավիճակի սուբյեկտ չի համարում:  

Tert.am-ի հետ զրույցում այս մասին ասաց «Հայաստանի Հանրապետական կուսակցություն» խմբակցության ազգային փոքրամասնությունների ցուցակով 6-րդ գումարման Ազգային ժողովում ներկայացված Ռուստամ Մախմուդյանը։

Ի պատասխան հարցի, թե իր կարծիքով՝ ԵԽԽՎ-ում մեր պատվիրակությունն ի՞նչ ակտիվություն է դրսևորում, անձամբ ինքը ի՞նչ խնդիրներ է կարևորում, ասաց. «Անձնապես այս պահին ԵԽԽՎ-ում ընդգրկված լինելու առումով տեղեկատվություն չունեմ, բայց ես կարծում եմ, որ մենք՝ որպես պատվիրակության ապագա անդամներ, պիտի կարողանանք Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունը ներկայացնել թիմային՝ ոչ միայն անհատի, այլև պետության, պետական քաղաքականության՝ ՀՀ և Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության շահերից: Իսկ ակտիվությունը… Բնականաբար, լինելով իրավաբան, պիտի կարողանամ ԵԽԽՎ առավելապես պետաիրավական հարցերի շուրջ ակտիվություն դրսևորել և փորձել ներկայացնել ՀՀ շահերը հենց պետաիրավական մակարդակում»:

Իսկ, թե ինչպես պետք է կարողանա դիմագրավել ՀՀ պատվիրակությունը Ադրբեջանի նավթադոլարային-խավիարային քաղաքականությանը, վերջինս ասաց, որ ի պատիվ պատվիրակության անդամների ու պատվիրակության ղեկավար Արփինե Հովհաննիսյանի՝ ականատես է եղել, թե «ինչպիսի համառությամբ ու լավ տրամաբանությամբ, անտեսելով բոլոր տեսակի նավթադոլարային հարստությունները, միջազգային իրավունքի սկզբունքներին համահունչ՝ կարողանում ենք հարկ եղած դեպքում անվստահություն ներկայացնել ԵԽԽՎ նախագահին և Ադրբեջանի մնացած բոլոր «ոգևորողներին», որոնք չեն կարողանում մեր կողմից ներկայացված իրավական հարցադրումների պատասխանները տալ»:
