ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Արա Բաբլոյանը հուլիսի 3-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանում Ճապոնիայի արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Էյջի Տագուչիին, տեղեկացնում է ԱԺ մամուլի ծառայությունը: 

Ողջունելով դեսպանին Ազգային ժողովում՝ Արա Բաբլոյանը նշել է. «Այս տարի լրանում է մեր երկրների միջեւ դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 25-ամյակը: Քառորդ դարի ընթացքում հայ-ճապոնական հարաբերությունները կայուն զարգացում են ապրել, ընդլայնվել նոր ոլորտներով եւ համալրվել նոր բովանդակությամբ»:

ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահի խոսքով՝ Ճապոնիայի հետ փոխշահավետ համագործակցության զարգացումը Հայաստանի Հանրապետության արտաքին քաղաքականության մեջ կարեւոր տեղ է զբաղեցնում եւ մեր երկրում առանձնահատուկ հետաքրքրություն կա Ճապոնիայի պատմության եւ մշակույթի հանդեպ:

Արա Բաբլոյանն իր երախտագիտությունն է հայտնել Ճապոնիայի կառավարությանը տարիների ընթացքում Հայաստանին տրամադրված աջակցության եւ մեր երկրում օժանդակության ծրագրեր իրականացնելու համար:

Խորհրդարանի ղեկավարը կարեւորել է միջխորհրդարանական կապերի, հատկապես խորհրդարանական բարեկամական խմբերի ակտիվ համագործակցության դերը հայ-ճապոնական երկկողմ հարաբերությունների օրակարգում:

ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահը պատրաստակամություն է հայտնել նպաստելու հայ-ճապոնական միջխորհրդարանական հարաբերությունների ամրապնդմանը:

Արա Բաբլոյանը հույս է հայտնել, որ Ճապոնիան Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման շուրջ կշարունակի դրսեւորել իր որդեգրած հավասարակշիռ դիրքորոշումը:

Էյջի Տագուչին շնորհավորել է Արա Բաբլոյանին ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահ ընտրվելու կապակցությամբ եւ մաղթել արդյունավետ աշխատանք:

Դեսպանը բարձր է գնահատել Ճապոնիայի եւ Հայաստանի միջեւ առկա հարաբերությունների մակարդակը եւ փաստել, որ հիմնադրման օրվանից ի վեր դեսպանությունը ձգտում է զարգացնել եւ խորացնել հարաբերությունները երկու երկրների միջեւ: Պարոն Տագուչին անդրադարձել է Հայաստանում Ճապոնիայի կառավարության կողմից իրականացվող աջակցության ծրագրերին, բարեկամ երկու երկրների միջեւ մուտքի արտոնագրերի ազատականացմանը եւ առեւտրատնտեսական համագործակցության զարգացման նոր ուղիների բացահայտմանն առնչվող հարցերին:

Էյջի Տագուչին կարեւորել է մեր երկրում սահմանադրական բարեփոխումները, անցումը խորհրդարանական կառավարման համակարգին՝ նշելով, որ դրանով Հայաստանը եւս մեկ քայլով մոտենում է Ճապոնիային:

Հանդիպման ավարտին զրուցակիցները նշել են, որ Ազգային ժողովի այգում աճող սակուրաները խորհրդանշում են հայ եւ ճապոնացի ժողովուրդների բարեկամությունը, որը տարեցտարի խորանում է՝ անկախ աշխարհագրական հեռավորությունից:
