Հայկաձորի Սբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորչ եկեղեցին բացվեց ուխտավորների առաջ: 9-րդ դարի այս եկեղեցին այն եզակի եկեղեցիներից է Հայաստանում, որ մշտապես բաց չէ հավատացյալների առաջ: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, եկեղեցին գտնվում է հայ-թուրքական սահմանին, ու սահմանային լինելու հանգամանքով պայմանավորված, մուտքը միայն անցաթղթով է: Գյուղի շուրջ 8 կմ երկարությամբ պետական սահմանը հսկում է ռուսական սահմանապահ ջոկատը: Եկեղեցին հսկողության գոտում է՝ փշալարերից այն կողմ ու եկեղեցի մտնելու համար պետք է անցնել անցակետը: Տարին միայն երեք անգամ է, որ հատուկ ամրագրված ժամերին բոլոր ցանկացողները կարող են բարձրանալ եկեղեցի: Դրանք Սբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորչին նվիրված 3 տոներին են:


Հուլիսի 1-ին Սբ. Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի նշխարների գյուտի տոնի առթիվ Հայկաձորի Սբ Լուսավորիչ եկեղեցի էին եկել ոչ միայն հայկաձորցիներն, այլ նաև ավելի քան հարյուր ուխտավորներ տարբեր վայրերից: Ձեռամբ Անիի տարածաշրջանի հոգևոր հովիվ տեր Հուսիկ քահանա Գրիգորյանի մատուցվեց պատարագ: Չնայած, ըստ պայմանավորվածության, ժամը 10:00-16:00 բոլոր ցանկացողները կարող էին ազատ բարձրանալ եկեղեցի, այդ ողջ ընթացքում տարածքը կրկին հսկում էին սահմանապահները: «Սա մի ցավալի երևույթ է, որ տեղ է գտել մեր իրականության մեջ: Փաստորեն, եկեղեցին սահմանի ներսում է ու մենք պարբերաբար խնդրանքով ենք մոտենում եկեղեցուն, բայց սա էլ իր հերթին ուխտի է նման»-նշեց Տեր Հուսիկ քահանա Գրիգորյանը՝ փաստելով, որ չնայած փակ լինելու հանգամանքին, եկեղեցում բարերարների աջակցությամբ վերանորոգման աշխատանքներ են ընթանում:


Սբ. Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի նշխարների գյուտը հայոց ամենամեծ սրբի հիշատակին նվիրված երեք տոներից մեկն է: Ըստ ավանդության` հայոց մեծ դարձից հետո Սբ. Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչն իր կյանքի վերջին տարիներն ավարտում է ճգնակեցությամբ` Սեպուհ լեռան Մանեի այրում, որտեղ էլ վախճանվում է 326 թ.-ին: Սրբազան ավանդության համաձայն, հովիվները Սեպուհ լեռան վրա շրջելու ժամանակ մի քարանձավի մեջ տեսան մի ծերունու` կռթնած իր գավազանի վրա` բազուկները տարածած ու անշնչացած: Ով էր այդ ծերունին, նրանք չգիտեին: Քարեր կուտակեցին նրա վրա և հեռացան:

Հետագայում Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչն իր աշակերտներից Գառնիկ Բասենացուն տեսիլքով հայտնում է իր նշխարների տեղը: Այս գյուտից հետո Ս. Հայրապետի նշխարները տեղափոխվում ու ամփոփվում են Բարձր Հայքի Դարանաղի գավառի Թորդան գյուղում: Ս.Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի բոլոր նշխարները չէ, որ ամփոփված են Թորդանում, այլ ոսկորների մի մասը տարվել է քաղաքամայր Վաղարշապատ և այլ վայրեր, մինչև անգամ Բյուզանդիոն և Իտալիմ Հետագայում Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի` Վաղարշապատ տարված նշխարներից պատրաստվում է ոսկյա Ս. Աջը, որը պահվում է Մայր Աթոռ Ս. Էջմիածնում. այն սրբալույս մյուռոնի օրհնության գլխավոր սրբություններից մեկն է: Սբ. Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի նշխարների գյուտի տոնը նշվում է Հոգեգալստից հետո` չորրորդ շաբաթ օրը: Այդ օրը համարվում է նաև Երևանի Ս. Գրիգոր Լուսավորիչ Մայր եկեղեցու ուխտի օր և մատուցվում է Սբ. Պատարագ:
