В деревне Коллуни графства Слайго (Северная Ирдандия), разразился сильнейший шторм, в результате которого был повален 200-летний бук.
Каково же было удивление людей, когда в корнях дерева обнаружили человеческий скелет, разделенный пополам. Ноги покойника остались в земле, а верхняя часть туловища запуталась в корнях.
Местные археологи определили, что это могила молодого человека, который умер насильственной смертью в возрасте от 17 до 20 лет между 1000 и 1200 годами.
Также ученым удалось определить, что у покойника было множество травм рук, ног и ребер, нанесенных, вероятно, ножом или мечом.
К сожалению, вряд ли удастся определить, что происходило здесь столько лет назад: умер этот юноша в бою или вследствие какого-то конфликта, который привел к драке.
Вот так природа приоткрыла перед нами завесу прошлого. К сожалению, полностью заглянуть туда у нас пока не получается…
