Սիրիայի հայերը տեղափոխվում են պատմական հայրենիք. The Economist-ի անդրադարձը

Երբ 2011 թվականին Սիրիայում սկսվեց պատերազմը, երկրի քրիստոնյա հայկական համայնքի հարուստ ընտանիքները տեղափոխվեցին Հայաստանի մայրաքաղաք Երևան՝ վարձակալելով Հյուսիսային պողոտայում գտնվող շքեղ բնակարանները: Թվում էր, թե նրանք եկել են արձակուրդի: Որոշ ժամանակ էր պետք հասկանալու, որ նրանք գուցե այլևս երբեք չկարողանան վերադառնալ տուն: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին գրում է հեղինակավոր The Economist պարբերականը «Սիրիայի հայերը գնում են պատմական հայրենիք» վերտառությամբ հոդվածում:
«Սիրիայի՝ վեց տարի շարունակվող քաղաքացիական պատերազմը ստիպեց ավելի քան 5 միլիոն քաղաքացիների ապաստան գտնել երկրից դուրս: 2015-2016 թվականներին հարյուր հազարավորները Բալկանների միջոցով ապահով ապաստան էին փնտրում Եվրոպայում: Սակայն Սիրիայի հայկական փոքրամասնության ներկայացուցիչները գերադասեցին չընտրել այս ուղին: Փոխարենը նրանք գնացին Հայաստան»,- գրում է պարբերականը՝ նշելով, որ արտագաղթի հետևանքով նոսրացած բնակչություն ունեցող Հայաստանը ուրախ էր ողջունել սիրիահայերին, ովքեր գերազանցապես կրթված էին, միջին դասի և գործարար:
The Economist-ը նշում է, որ նախքան պատերազմը Սիրիայում բնակվում էր շուրջ 90 հազար էթնիկ հայ, որոնցից շատերը 1915 թվականի Հայոց ցեղասպանության վերապրածների ժառանգներն են: 61-ամյա Հրայր Ագուլյանը, ով պատերազմից առաջ Հալեպում իր ողջ կյանքի խնայողությունները ներդրել էր կահույքի գործարանի մեջ, իսկ այժմ տեղափոխվել է Երևան, նշում է. «Հարյուր տարի տևեց, սակայն այժմ ամեն բան ավարտված է: Քրիստոնյաներն ապագա չունեն Մերձավոր Արևելքում»:
Ներկայում Սիրիայում մնացել են շուրջ 30 հազար հայեր: Նրանց մի մասը տեղափոխվել է Լիբանան, Կանադա, Թուրքիա, Պարսից ծոցի երկրներ և այլուր: Սակայն շուրջ 30 հազարը տեղափոխվել է մայր հայրենիք: Նրանց մեծ մասը տեղափոխվել ու հաստատվել է հենց Երևանում, միայն 30 ընտանիք բնակեցվել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում: Սիրիայի բանակում ծառայող մի խումբ երիտասարդներ էլ կամավորագրվել են ԼՂ շփման գծում ծառայելու:
