Եվրոպայի խորհրդի խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի ամառային նստաշրջանի մեկնարկային ելույթներում Եվրոպայի բոլոր քաղաքական խմբերը վստահ հայտարարել են, որ ԵԽԽՎ ներկայիս ղեկավար Պեդրո Ագրամունտն այլեւս չի վայելում վստահություն եւ պետք է հեռանա: «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում այս մասին տեղեկացրեց ԵԽԽՎ հայկական պատվիրակության անդամ, ՀՀ ԱԺ պատգամավոր Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանը: 

«Արդեն վաղը քվեարկության կդրվի համապատասխան նախագիծ, որը ենթադրում է ԵԽԽՎ կանոնակարգի փոփոխություն, ըստ որի՝ կամրագրվի հետկանչի մեխանիզմ: Հետաքրքիր է, որ այս տարիների ընթացքում ոչ ԵԽԽՎ նախագահի, ոչ գլխավոր քարտուղարի հետկանչի մեխանիզմ ամրագրված չի եղել: Այստեղ արդեն երկու ասպեկտ կա՝ բարոյական, այսինքն՝ արդյոք Պեդրո Ագրամունտը կգտնի բարոյական ուժ եւ կհեռանա, իսկ եթե ոչ, ապա գործի կդրվի իրավական ասպեկտը»,- ասաց նա:  

Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանի դիտարկմամբ՝ Ագրամունտի դեպքում ավելորդ է խոսել հրաժարական տալու մասին, քանի որ առավոտյան նրա հարցով ընթացող երկար քննարկումից տպավորությունն այն է եղել, որ Ագրամունտն ընտրել է իր համար ամենանվաստացուցիչ տարբերակը:

«Բոլորը խոսեցին ԵԽԽՎ-ում կոռուպցիայի, Ագրամունտին այլեւս չվստահելու մասին, սակայն նա կարծես ընտրել է «ինձնից հետո թեկուզ ջրհեղեղ» տարբերակը: Նա գիտի, որ իր վրա վետո է դրված, որ իրավունք չունի ԵԽԽՎ նիստեր վարել, բյուջեից ինչ-որ գումար ծախսել, բայց նախընտրում է երկարաձգել այս նվաստացման գործընթացը՝ փորձելով այս կերպ վարկաբեկել ԵԽԽՎ-ն: Պատահական չէ, որ իմ ելույթում ես ասացի, որ ինձ համար սպասելի էր, որ Պեդրո Ագրամունտը չի պահելու իրեն ոչ որպես քաղաքական գործիչ, ոչ որպես տղամարդ»,-եզրափակեց Նաիրա Զոհրաբյանը: 

Ավելի վաղ հայտնի դարձավ, որ Եվրախորհրդի խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի հինգ հիմնական քաղաքական խմբերից մեկը՝ Եվրոպայի ժողովրդական կուսակցությունը, հունիսի 26-ին ձայների մեծամասնությամբ քվեարկել է ԵԽԽՎ-ի ներկայիս ղեկավար Պեդրո Ագրամունտին անվստահություն հայտնելու օգտին:
