Եմենի կառավարությունը հետաքննում է երկրի տարածքում գաղտնի բանտերի մասին հաղորդումները, որոնք շրջանառվում են ԱՄԷ-ում։ Reuters-ի փոխանցմամբ՝ երկրի վարչապետ Ահմեդ բին Դահրը հայտարարել է, որ արդարադատության նախարարի գլխավորությամբ հատուկ հանձնաժողով է ձեւավորվել՝ «ազատագրված տարածքներում մարդու իրավունքների խախտումների վերաբերյալ պնդումները» հետաքննելու համար։ «Հանձնաժողովը 15 օր անց հաշվետվություն պետք է ներկայացնի վարչապետին»,-նշել է նա։
Ավելի վաղ Human Rights Watch իրավապաշտպան կազմակերպությունը հայտարարել է Ադենում եւ Հադրամութում մարդկանց բռնի պահելու եւ անհետացման 49 դեպքի մասին։ AP-ն, վկայակոչելով փաստաբաններին ու հարազատներին, հայտնել է Եմենի գաղտնի բանտերում շուրջ 2000 մարդու անհետացման մասին։ Նշվել է նաեւ, որ հարցաքննության ընթացքում դաժան կտտանքներ են կիրառվում։ Հարցաքննությանը մասնակցում են ամերիկացի զինծառայողները։ Վերջինները հաստատել են իրենց մասնակցությունը, սակայն հայտարարել, որ կտտանքներ չեն կիրառվել եւ նրանք կալանավորների հետ դաժան վերաբերմունքի մասին տեղեկություն չունեն։
