Ռուսաստանը եւ Իրանը կարող են հանգուցային դեր խաղալ սիրիական հակամարտության կարգավորման գործում՝ ապահովելով Դամասկոսի մասնակցությունը քաղաքական գործընթացին: Այդ մասին, հայտարարել Է Եվրամիության արտաքին գործերի եւ անվտանգության քաղաքականության գերագույն ներկայացուցիչ Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին:
Նա ընդգծել Է, որ Սիրիայում «Իսլամական պետությունե ահաբեկչական խմբավորման դեմ ռազմական գործողությունները պետք Է «զուգահեռ ընթանան այդ երկրում քաղաքական գործընթացի հետե, եւ այդ խնդիրը քննարկվելու Է ԵՄ-ի՝ հոկտեմբերի 15-16-ի գագաթնաժողովում:
«Սիրիական հակամարտության կարգավորման գործում Ռուսաստանի դերը կարող Է չափազանց կարեւոր լինել, մենք այդ մասին խոսել ենք ՌԴ արտաքին գործերի նախարար Սերգեյ Լավրովի հետ եւ, մասնավորապես, պայմանավորվել՝ օգտագործելու բոլոր ռեսուրսները Սիրիայի խնդրով ՄԱԿ-ի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ստեֆան դե Միստուրայի ջանքերին աջակցելու համարե,-ասել Է նա:
«Ռուսաստանը կարող Է հանգուցային խաղորդ լինել եւ ճնշում գործադրել Դամասկոսի վարչակարգի վրա, որպեսզի նրան նստեցնի բանակցությունների սեղանի շուրջ: Այդ համատեքստում հանգուցային դեր Է խաղում նաեւ Իրանըե,-նշել Է եվրոպական դիվանագիտության ղեկավարը, ընդգծելով, որ հոկտեմբերի 13-ին իրանական պատվիրակությունը՝ արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարարի գլխավորությամբ, «ամբողջ օրն անցկացրել Է Բրյուսելում՝ քննարկելով Սիրիայում քաղաքական գործընթացի գործարկման հարցըե, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
