 Վերակառուցման և զարգացման եվրոպական բանկի երևանյան գրասենյակի ղեկավար Մարկ Դևիսը Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանը Հայաստանի անդամակցությունը հեռանկարային է համարում, սակայն այս պահին վաղ է համարում արդյունքների մասին խոսելու համար: Հոկտեմբերի 14-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը Մարկ Դևիսը կարծիք հայտնեց, որ ԵԱÕ �Մ-ին Հայաստանի անդամակցությանը հարկավոր է նայել երկարաժամկետ կտրվածքով: «Շատ է խոսվում այն մասին, որ Ռուսաստանի բարդ տնտեսական վիճակը բացասաբար է անդրադառնում Հայաստանի վրա, սակայն պետք չէ դա կապել Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությանը Հայաստանի անդամակցության հետ: Պետք չէ հիմա խոսել այդ անդամակցության արդյունքների մասին, քանի որ դա երկարաժամկետ հեռանկարային նախագիծ է»,- նշեց Դևիսը:

Նա ընդգծեց, որ Եվրասիական տնտեսական միությունը զարգացման ռազմավարություն ունի, որը նախատեսվում է կյանքի կոչել 25 տարիների ընթացքում, ուստի արդյունքները միանգամից երևալ չեն կարող: Միևնույն ժամանակ, Դևիսը հայտնեց, որ լավատեսորեն է տրամադրված և հույս ունի, որ Հայաստանը կկարողանա օգուտներ քաղել ԵԱՏՄ-ի ստեղծած հնարավորություններից: «Այս պահին, իհարկե, կան խնդիրներ, որոնք կապված են հատկապես տարանցիկ բեռնափոխադրումների հետ: Այդ խնդիրներն առաջանում են նրա համար, որ Հայաստանն ընդհանուր սահման չունի Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության հետ: Սրան ք տեխնիկական խնդիրներ են, և ես հույս ունեմ, որ վաղ թե ուշ դրանք լուծում են ստանալու»,- ասաց Դևիսը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ Հայաստանն ունի բոլոր հնարավորությունները ԵԱՏՄ-ից տնտեսական օգուտներ քաղելու համար: Այս առումով նա կարևորում է Հայաստանում գյուղատնտեսության ոլորտի ակտիվությունը, որտեղ Հայաստանը կարող է սերտորեն համագործակցել ԵԱՏՄ անդամ երկրների հետ և լուրջ օգուտներ ստանալ:
