Կառավարությունը հաստատեց նախնական մասնագիտական (արհեստագործական) և միջին մասնագիտական կրթական ծրագրեր իրականացնող պետական ուսումնական հաստատությունների 2017/2018 ուսումնական տարվա անվճար ուսուցմամբ ընդունելության տեղերը: Որոշման ընդունումը հնարավորություն կընձեռի ուսումնական հաստատություններում մրցութային կարգով անվճար ուսուցման (նպաստի ձևով ուսման վճարի լրիվ փոխհատուցմամբ) տեղերում ընդունել բարձր առաջադիմություն ունեցող դիմորդներին և պատրաստել աշխատաշուկայում պահանջարկ ունեցող մասնագետներ: ՀՀ կրթության և գիտության նախարար Լևոն Մկրտչյանը նշեց, որ միջին մասնագիտական կրթական համակարգը լուրջ բարեփոխումների ընթացքում է, որոնք իրականացվում են եվրոպական դրամաշնորհային ծրագրերի աջակցությամբ:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ, վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանը կարևորեց միջին մասնագիտական կրթական համակարգի զարգացումը և նշեց. «Մենք այսօր բազմաթիվ գերակա ոլորտներում՝ ՏՏ, թեթև արդյունաբերություն և այլն, ունենք մասնագետների պակաս: Հանդիպումների ժամանակ բիզնեսի ներկայացուցիչներն իրենց պատրաստակամությունն են հայտնել ներդրումներ կատարել այս ուղղությամբ: Մեր կրթական համակարգը շուկայի պահանջներին դեռևս շատ վատ է արձագանքում: Համապատասխան գերատեսչությունների հետ պետք է հստակ ձևակերպել շահառուներին և մեր գործընկերներին, ովքեր պատրաստ են մասնակցել ծրագրում, որպեսզի իրականում այս ոլորտում կատարենք փոփոխություններ»: 

Վարչապետը հանձնարարեց բոլոր գերատեսչությունների ղեկավարներին ըստ ոլորտների ձևակերպել աշխատուժի պահանջարկը, տեղեկատվությունն ամփոփել Կրթության և գիտության նախարարությունում և ըստ այդմ՝ տալ լուծումներ: «Մանսագետների պակասի պատճառով նվազում է նաև աճի տեմպը: Դա վերաբերում է և´ ֆերմերությանը, և´ թեթև արդյունաբերությանը, և ՏՏ-ին և մյուս ճյուղերին: Արդյունավետության բարձրացման համար պետք է ունենանք որակյալ աշխատուժ, որին պետք է պատրաստել արագընթաց կուսերի միջոցով»,- ընդգծեց կառավարության ղեկավարը:
