Երեկ՝ հունիսի 21-ին, կրակոցներ են հնչել Երևանում: Ժամը 13:30-ի սահմաններում ոստիկանության Երևան քաղաքի վարչության օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոն ահազանգ է ստացվել, որ Բաբաջանյան փողոցի 108/7 հասցեում գործող խանութի մոտ կրակոցներ են հնչել: Մինչ դեպքի վայր կմեկներ ոստիկանության Մալաթիա-Սեբաստիայի բաժնի օպերատիվ խումբը, ժամը 14:00-ի սահմաններում Աստղիկ բժշկական կենտրոնից ահազանգ է ստացվում ոստիկանության Երևան քաղաքի վարչության օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոն և հայտնում են, որ «գլխի հրազենային վնասվածք» աշխոտրոշմամբ իրենց մոտ է տեղափոխվել մի քաղաքացի:

Ոստիկանության Մալաթիայի բաժնի օպերատիվ խմբի մի մասը՝ բաժնի պետ Զոհրաբյանի գլխավորությամբ, մեկնում են հիվանդանոց, որտեղ պարզում են, որ հրազենային վնասվածք ստացողը Կոտայքի մարզի Պռոշյան գյուղի բնակիչ, 23-ամյա Արման Հովսեփյանն է:

Ոստիկանները պարզել են, որ նույն օրը ժամը 13:10-ի սահմաններում նշված հասցեի մոտ Ա. Հովսեփյանն ու նրա եղբայրը՝ նույն հասցեի բնակիչ, 26-ամյա Արթուր Հովսեփյանը, ով աշխատում է «Ավեստաս» ՍՊԸ-ում, անհայտ անձի հետ վիճաբանություն են ունեցել, որի ժամանակ էլ իրենց անծանոթ անձնավորությունը կրակել է Արմանի գլխին: Եղբայրները հրաժարվել են կատարվածի մասին ոստիկաններին տեղեկություններ հայտնել և միայն ոստիկանների ձեռնարկված հսկայածավալ օպերատիվ –հետախուզական գործողությունների արդյունքում է որոշ մանրամասներ պարզվել

: Ժամեր անց ոստիկանության Երևան քաղաքի վարչության քրեական հետախուզության բաժնի և ոստիկանության Մալաթիա-Սեբաստիայի բաժնի քրեական հետախուզության բաժանմունքի աշխատակիցները, օպերատիվ տվյալներն իրացնելով, պարզում են անծանոթ անձի ինքնությունը և անցկացված բացատրական աշխատանքների շնորհիվ ոստիկանություն է ներկայանում 25-ամյա Խդր Ամոյանը և խոստովանում, որ ինքն է վիճաբանության ժամանակ ծեծի ենթարկել եղբայրներին, որի ընթացքում էլ իր մոտ եղած գազային ատրճանակով կրակոցներ է արձակել: Խ. Ամոյանը աշխատում է «ԳԻՄԱՍ» ՍՊԸ-ում՝ որպես հերթափոխի պետ, իսկ գազային ատրճանակն էլ հաշվառված է իր անվամբ:
