«Իրավունք» թերթը գրում է.
Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանը ԱԺ տարածքային կառավարման, տեղական ինքնակառավարման, գյուղատնտեսության եւ բնապահպանության հարցերի մշտական հանձնաժողովում խոսեց գյուղերին եւ քաղաքներին տրվող սուղ ֆինանսական միջոցների մասին, որոնցով հնարավոր չէ լուծել գյուղի ու քաղաքի խնդիրները: «Դա խայտառակություն է»,-ասաց Վարդան Ղուկասյանը:
«Իրավունքը» Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետից հետաքրքրվեց՝ եթե գյուղերի ու քաղաքների խնդիրների լուծման համար հատկացվող միջոցները քիչ են, ինչպե՞ս են որոշ գյուղապետներ ու քաղաքապետներ մեծ ունեցվածք դիզել: «Էդ գնա, իրենց հարցրա: Դրանց նկատմամբ պետք է հասարակությունն ու դատաիրավական ոլորտն իր վերաբերմունքը հայտնի»,-ասաց Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետը:
Նախկին քաղաքապետին հիշեցրինք, որ տարբեր լրատվամիջոցներ ժամանակին հրապարակումներ են արել Վարդան Ղուկասյանի ունեցվածքի մասին: հարցը դուր չեկավ պատգամավորին: Վերջինս, ինչպես միշտ, իր ուրույն ձեւով սկսեց քննադատել մամուլին, ասելով, որ պատվեր են կատարել՝ փող են վերցրել, իր դեմ նյութեր են գրել: «Գյումրեցին այն մարդն է, որ եթե նրա նկատմամբ մի ոտնձգություն անես, քաղաքից քեզ կվռնդեն»,-ասաց ու հեռացավ պատգամավորը»:
