Եվրամիությունը պատրաստ է շարունակել աջակցել Հայաստանին, քանի որ տեսնում է քաղաքացիների դրական արձագանքը Հայաստանում անցկացվող ԵՄ գործողություններին: Հունիսի 20-ին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այս մասին ասաց Հայաստանում Եվրամիության պատվիրակության ղեկավար, դեսպան Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին:

«Ցանկանում եմ առիթից օգտվել եւ շնորհակալություն հայտնել հայ քաղաքացիներին, ովքեր գնահատում են մեր աշխատանքը, շնորհակալ եմ աջակցության համար:  Մենք իսկապես հասկանում ենք, որ շատ մարդիկ կան Հայաստանում, ովքեր  հավատում են, որ ԵՄ-ն լավ գործ է անում: Կարող եմ ասել, որ երբեմն բավականին հուզիչ ուղերձներ ենք ստանում քաղաքացիներից, ովքեր առհասարակ մեզ դիմում էին աջակցություն խնդրելու համար, իսկ այժմ նրանք են աջակցություն դրսեւորում: Սա իմ եւ իմ թիմի համար մեծ խթան է:  Վստահեցնում եմ՝ պատրաստ ենք առավելագույն ջանքերը գործադրել Հայաստանի քաղաքացիների համար, որպեսզի նրանք մեր գործողություններից ավելի շատ օգուտ  ստանան»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ շեշտեց նա:

Անդրադառնալով Հայաստանում ապրիլի 2-ին անցկացված ընտրությունների արդյունքների վերաբերյալ Եվրոպական խորհրդի կազմակերպած քննարկմանը, որտեղ դեսպանը խոսել էր ընտրակաշառքների բաժանման, ընտրական այլ խախտումների մասին, եւ որից հետո ՀՀ արդարադատության նախարարը հայտարարել էր, որ սա փորձ է խառնվելու Հայաստանի ներքին խնդիրներին, Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին նշեց, որ իր ուղերձը հստակորեն տեղ հասցնելու համար հանրային հայտարարությունների կարիք չունի, իր գնահատականն ու կարծիքը անհայտ չէ  իր զրուցակիցներին եւ պատասխանատուներին:

«Այստեղ չեմ եկել մասնակցելու հանրային քննարկման, դա իմ դերը չէ, բայց, իհարկե, դրական է, երբ արտաքին դիտորդը ներգրավված է  կարեւոր հարցերի վերաբերյալ քննարկումներում: Մենք պետք է դրական տրամադրված լինենք հանրային քննարկումներին եւ բանավեճերին, որոնք ծավալվում են կարեւոր հարցերի շուրջ, սակայն կարեւոր է հետեւել որոշակի տարրական կանոնների. նախքան  ինչ-որ բան արտահայտելը, իմացեք՝  ինչ է ասվել, կրկին նայեք տեսանյութը, լսեք ձայնագրությունը, մտածեք,  հարգեք ձեր խոսակցին»,-ասաց Պյոտր Սվիտալսկին՝ հավելելով, որ հայ պաշտոնյաների հետ շատ լավ աշխատանքային հարաբերություններ ունի:

Ինչ վերաբերում է ընտրություններին, դեսպանը եւս մեկ անգամ հիշեցրեց, որ Եվրամիությունը մեծապես աջակցել է Հայաստանում խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների անցկացմանը՝ տրամադրելով ավելի քան  յոթ մլն եվրո, որի միջոցով է նաեւ հնարավոր եղել կազմակերպել ընտրական ողջ գործընթացը: Նա ընդգծեց, որ դա եղել է Հայաստանի կամքով, ոչ հակառակ դրան:

 «Գաղտնիք չէ, որ մեր աջակցությունը ընտրական գործընթացում շատ ավելին էր, քան պարզապես ֆինանսավորումը, տեխնիկական օժանդակությունը: Մենք պատրաստ ենք շարունակել մեր աջակցությունը, բայց եթե կան թերահավատություններ կամ այլ կարծիքներ, որ սա այնքան էլ ցանկալի չէ, մենք մեծապես հարգում ենք Հայաստանի սուվերենությունը: Եթե մեր աջակցությունը ցանկալի չէ, չենք կարող ստիպել, ոչ մի բան ձեր կամքին հակառակ»,-եզրափակեց Եվրամիության պատվիրակության ղեկավարը:
