Հայաստանը կորցրել է շատ որակյալ անտառներ. ՄԱԿ–ի ծրագրի ղեկավար

Անտառային տարածքների ներսում անցանկալի երևույթների հետևանքով Հայաստանը կորցրել է շատ որակյալ անտառներ: ՄԱԿ–ի զարգացման ծրագրի «Հողերի և անտառների կայուն կառավարում հյուսիսարևելյան լեռնային լանդշաֆտներ» ծրագրի տեխնիկական առաջադրանքի ղեկավար Հովիկ Սայադյանի խոսքով` Հայաստանում անտառածածկույթը կազմում է 334 հազար հեկտար, որից 270 հազարը գյուղատնտեսության նախարարության իրավասության տակ է, իսկ մոտ 70 հազարը` բնապահպանության նախարարության:
«Եթե նայենք արբանյակային պատկերներին, ապա կարող ենք ասել, որ նման տարածք իսկապես ունենք, սակայն ամբողջ խնդիրը 90–ական թվականներից մինչև այժմ անտառային տարածքների ներսում անցանկալի երևույթներն են: Մենք կորցրել ենք շատ որակյալ անտառ: Շատ քիչ հատվածներ են պահպանվել: Մեր ծրագրերով ցանկանում ենք ապահովել բարձրարժեք բնապահպանական անտառ և ներդնել էկոհամակարգային ծառայություններ ու այլ համակարգեր: Դրանով ցանկանում ենք այդ անտառներն ամբողջությամբ պահպանության տակ դնել և շատ քիչ մաս թողնել սանիտարական կամ անտառվերականգման հատման համար»,– ասաց նա:
