Կորեայի Հանրապետությունում ատոմային Էներգետիկայի զարգացմանը միտված քաղաքականությունը կդադարեցվի: Հարավային Կորեայի նախագահ Մուն Չժե Ինն այս մասին հայտարարել Է երկրի հարավ - արեւելքում «Կորի-1» ատոմային Էլեկտրակայանը շահագործումից հանելու՝ հունիսի 19-ին կայացած արարողության ժամանակ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը: «Այս իրադարձությունը անվտանգ Էներգետիկայի ստեղծման նոր ուղու սկիզբն Է, որը ապահովի Էկոլոգիայի պահպանումը եւ Կորեայի Հանրապետության կայուն աճը»,- ընդգծել Է նախագահը: Նրա խոսքով՝ Հարավային Կորեան, որն աշխարհում ատոմակայանների ամենախիտ դասավորությամբ երկիրն Է, «այլեւս անվտանգ չԷ երկրաշարժերից»: Մուն Չժե Ինն ընդգծել Է, որ նոր հուժկու երկրաշարժի հետեւանքով ատոմային Էլեկտրակայնների վնասումը կարող Է հանգեցնել աղետալի հետեւանքների:

Նախագահը խոստացել Է, որ կձեռնարկի գործող ատոմակայանների անվտանգության ապահովման միջոցներ, իսկ նոր ԱԷԿ-ների կառուցման բոլոր պլանները կդադարեցվեն: Բացի դրանից, գործող օբյեկտների աշխատանքի ժամկետը չի երկարացվի երաշխիքային շրջանից ավելի: Փոխարենը պլանավորվում Է զարգացնել Էներգիայի վերականգնվող աղբյուրների ճյուղը:

Հարավային Կորեայում ներկայում գործում են չորս խոշոր ատոմակայաններ՝ 23 Էներգաբլոկներով, որոնք արտադրում են երկրում սպառվող ԷլեկտրաԷներգիայի մոտավորապես մեկ երրորդը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
