Հունիսի 18-ին կարճատեւ աշխատանքային այցելությամբ Կատարի մայրաքաղաք Դոհա ժամանած Հայաստանի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանը հանդիպեց Կատարի ԱԳ նախարար Շեյխ Մոհամեդ բեն Աբդուլռահման Ալ-Թանիին:
Հայաստանի ԱԳ նախարարն իր կատարցի գործընկերոջը հանձնեց Էմիր Թամիմ բին Համադ Ալ Թանիին ուղղված ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի ուղերձը։
Զրուցակիցները քննարկեցին ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի՝ Դոհա կատարած այցելության ընթացքում Էմիր Թամիմ բին Համադ Ալ Թանիի հետ ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունների կատարման ընթացքը։
Հանդիպմանն արտգործնախարարները մտքեր փոխանակեցին երկկողմ եւ բազմակողմ ձեւաչափերում համագործակցությանն առնչվող հարցերի շուրջ:
Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանն ու Շեյխ Մոհամեդ բեն Աբդուլռահման Ալ-Թանին քննարկեցին Մերձավոր Արեւելքում, մասնավորապես Պարսից ծոցում եւ Կատարի շուրջ զարգացումները։ Այս համատեքստում արտգործնախարար Նալբանդյանը նշեց, որ Հայաստանն ավանդական ջերմ հարաբերություններ ունի արաբական երկրների հետ եւ մշտապես ամենայն ուշադրությամբ է հետեւում իրադարձություններին արաբական աշխարհում։ Հայաստանի արտաքին քաղաքական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը շեշտեց, որ բոլոր հարցերը պետք է լուծել երկխոսության միջոցով, քանզի դա հնավորություն է ընձեռում առավել լավ ընկալել միմյանց դիրքորոշումները եւ համատեղ լուծումներ գտնել։
