ԱՄՆ-ում ձերբակալել են Միացյալ Նահանգներում բնակվող երկու թուրք քաղաքացու, որոնք մասնակցել էին մայիսի 16-ին Վաշինգտոնում խաղաղ ցուցարարների նկատմամբ էրդողանամետ խմբի իրականացրած հարձակմանը:
Այս մասին հայտնու է The Armenian Weekly-ն` նշելով, որ ձերբակալվածների անունը չի հաղորդվում, սակայն նախօրեին հայտնի էր դարձել, որ Նյու Ջերսիում ձերբակալվել էր շինարարական ընկերության սեփականատեր Էյուփ Յըլդըրըմը
Ամերիկյան ծառայության հաղորդմամբ` Յըլդըրըմը ճանաչվել է որպես քուրդ ցուցարար Լյուսի Ուսոյանին ծեծի ենթարկած անձնավորութթյունը, ինչպես պատկերվում էր ծեծկռտուքի տեսանյութերում:
Հիշեցնենք, որ ԱՄՆ Էրդողանի այցի ժամանակ տեղի ունեցած հարձակման հետևանքով 11 մարդ էր վնասվածքներ ստացել: Վաշինգտոնում Թուրքիայի դեսպանության առջև տեղի ունեցած միջադեպից հետոամերիկացի օրենսդիրները պահանջել էին երկրից արտաքսել թուրք դեսպանին, ինչպես նաև չեղարկել 1.6 մլն դոլարի զենքի վաճառքը Թուրքիային:
