Կենսածին տարրերը՝ ֆոսֆորն ու ազոտը, Սևանա լճում  այն քանակի են այսօր, ինչպիսին եղել են այդ առումով վատագույն տարիներին՝ 1970-ականներին։ 
«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ լրագրողների հետ զրույցում իրենց ուսումնասիրությունները ներկայացրեց ՀՀ գիտությունների ազգային ակադեմիայի կենդանաբանության և հիդրոէկոլոգիայի գիտական կենտրոնի տնօրեն Բարդուխ Գաբրիելյանը։ 
«Վերջին ժամանակներում առաջարկներ են լինում Սևանից շատ ջուր վերցնել, այսինքն՝ ավելացնել բացթողումները։ Որոշ ժամանակահատվածներ են լինում, որ այդ ամենը հանգեցնում է լճի մակարդակի իջեցման։ Օրենքով նախատեսված է, որ պետք է դրական բալանս լինի, այսինքն՝ ամեն տարի լճի մակարդակը գոնե 1սմ պետք է բարձրանա։ Շատ կարևոր է, որպեսզի չլինի բացասական հաշվեկշիռ»,- ասաց Բարդուխ Գաբրիելյանը։ 
Նրա խոսքով՝ այն պատասխանատուները, ովքեր որոշումներ են ընդունում, պետք է հասկանան, որ եթե այսօր բացասական բալանս լինի, ապա անդառնալի բացասական երևույթներ կարող են ի հայտ գալ Սևանա լճում։ Բարձրանալով՝ Սևանը լվանում է ափամերձ գոտիները և դրանով ավելացնում ջրի մեջ կենսածին տարրերը, այսինքն՝ այն օրգանական նյութի տարրերը, որոնք բերում են ճահճացման։ 
«Մեր ուսումնասիրությունների համաձայն, Սևանա լճի կենսածին տարրերը՝ ֆոսֆորն ու ազոտը, այն քանակի են այսօր, ինչպիսին եղել են այդ առումով վատագույն տարիներին՝ 1970-ականներին։ Այն հանգամանքը, որ մակարդակը բարձրանում է և կենդանական աշխարհի անողնաշարների մեջ կան որոշ փոփոխություններ, որոնք սկսվում են դրանով, այդ տարրերը փաստորեն օգտագործվում են իրենց կողմից։ Վաղ թե ուշ, եթե այդ կենդանիները չօգտագործվեն ձկան կողմից, կմահանան, կիջնեն ջրի հատակ՝ ավելացնելով օրգանական նյութերը և կհանգեցնեն այդ ամենը ճահճացման»,- նշեց Բարդուխ Գաբրիելյանը։ 
Նա նաև շատ կարևորեց լճի մակարդակի բարձրացման հարցը և կոչ արեց հետևել, որպեսզի բացասական բալանս չարձանագրվի։
