ՆԱՏՕ-ն և Հայաստանը կքննարկեն Աֆղանստանում հայ խաղաղապահների թվաքանակն ավելացնելու հարցը

Հայաստանը և ՆԱՏՕ-ն գերազանց համագործակցություն ունեն բազմաթիվ ուղղություններով, և առաջընթացը նշանակալի է: Հունիսի 12-ին Երևանում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն այս մասին ասաց Հարավային Կովկասում և Կենտրոնական Ասիայում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ջեյմս Ապատուրայը: «Մենք շնորհակալ ենք Հայաստանին  Աֆղանստանում և Կոսովոյում մեր գործողություններին ակտիվ մասնակցելու համար: Մենք սպասում ենք Հայաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարի առաջիկա այցին Բրյուսել, որտեղ, ի թիվս այլ հարցերի, քննարկելու ենք Աֆղանստանում հայկական խաղաղապահ  զորքերի ընդլայնման հարցը»,- նշեց Ապատուրայը:

Նա հավելեց, որ Հայաստանի և ՆԱՏՕ-ի համագործակցությունն ամրագրված է լայն   շրջանակային համաձայնագրով: Ապատուրայը նկատեց, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ն ակտիվորեն  կրթում է հայ զինծառայողներին  իր զինվորական կրթական հաստատություններում, Հայաստանի հետ համագործակցում է զինված ուժերում բարեվարքության կառուցման, թափանցիկության ապահովման ու կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի հարցերում: «Հայաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարի հետ իմ վերջին հանդիպման ընթացքում նա իր պատրաստակամությունն ու նվիրումն է հայտնել այս հարցերին»,- ասաց Հարավային Կովկասում և Կենտրոնական Ասիայում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի հատուկ ներկայացուցիչը:

Ջեյմս Ապատուրայը նաև հավելեց, որ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանի հետ քննարկել են տարածքաշրջանային և միջազգային անվտանգության հետ կապված հարցեր: Նա ակնկալում է, որ Հայաստանում իր հանդիպումների ընթացքում վերը նշված հարցերը ևս օրակարգային կլինեն:
