Հուշարձանները անցյալից եկած շինություններ են, որոնք մեզ հետ մնում են դարեր շարունակ, այդ պատճառով էլ մարդկությունը, որպես օրենք, դրանք կառուցում է ի պատիվ հավերժական արժեքների՝ ազատության, խաղաղության ու հավատի:
Որքան էլ տարօրինակ է, սակայն Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոյում կառուցված Հիսուս Քրիստոսի արձանը, ոչ էլ Նյու Յորքի Ազատության արձանը, շինություններ են, որոնք սովորաբեր հիշվում են, երբ խոսք է գնում աշխարհի ամենաբարձր կառույցների մասին, սակայն չեն մտնում անգամ բարձրհուշարձանների տասնյակի մեջ:

Մայր Հայրենիք
Նիկիտա Խրուշչովը պահանջել էր, որ Վոլգոգրադում կառուցվելիք հուշարձանը ավելի բարձր լիներ, քան ամերիկյան Ազատության արձանը:
Մայր Հայրենիքի հեղինակները քանդակագործ Եվգենի Վուչետիչը ու ինժեներ Նիկոլայ Նիկիտինը, ովքեր բառացի հասկանալով գլխավոր քարտուղարի խոսքերը, չափն անցան: Նյու Յորքի Statue of Liberty-ն ունի 46 մետր բարձրություն, Մայր Հայրենիքը՝ 85:
Ազատության արձան
Ազատության արձանի բարձրությունը 46 մետր է, սակայն դրա բարձրությունը պատվանդանի հետ միասին կազմում է 93 մետր:
Արձանի հեղինակը Ֆրեդերիկ Բարտոլդին է:
Հիսուս Քրիստոս
Հիսուս Քրիստոսին նվիրված ամենահայտնի հուշարձանը Cristo Redentor-ն է,որը վեր է խոյանում Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոյում:
Հուշարձանը ներառված է աշխարհի նոր 7 հրաշքների թվում:
Հիսուսը ձեռքերը լայն պարզած է 26 մետր, ինչի պատճառով այն հեռվից նմանվում է խաչի:
Լենին
Այնուհետ գալիս է Վլադիմիր Լենինի արձանը: Այնքան արձաններ են կառուցվել՝ նվիրված Լենինին, որ անգամ սարսափելի է պատկերացնել:
Վոլգոգրադում Լենինի արձանը ունի 27 մ բարձրություն, ևս 30 մետր զբաղեցնում է դրա պատվանդանը:
Բուդդա
Աշխարհի ամենաբարձր հուշարձանների եռյակը բոլորն էլ Բուդդաներ են:
Բուդդայի արձանը ճապոնական Ուսիկու կղզում, ունի 100 մ բարձրություն, դրան գումարած՝ 20 մետր պատվանդան:
Իսկ Գարնանային տաճարի Բուդդայի բարձրությունը 128 մետր է, իսկ պատվանդանի հետ միասին դրա «բարձրությունը» կկազմի 153 մետր:
