 Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հոկտեմբերի 12-ին ընդունել է Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղար Միկայել Ժանին: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրին՝  նշելով, թե ուրախ է, որ հանդիպումը կայանում է հենց Հայաստանում՝  Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպ ության նախարարական համաժողովի 31-րդ նիստի շրջանակներում:

Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի ղեկավար մարմնի հերթական հանդիպումը մեր երկրում, Հանրապետության Նախագահի խոսքով, առանձնակի նշանակություն ունի Հայաստանի համար, և մեծ պատիվ ու պատասխանատվություն էր հյուրընկալել այդ կարևորագույն միջոցառումը: Ընդգծելով, որ Հայաստանը Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության ակտիվ անդամ պետություններից է, Սերժ Սարգսյանը վստահեցրել է, որ մեր երկիրը հավատարիմ է ֆրանկոֆոն ընտանիքը միավորող արժեքների խրախուսման իր հանձնառությանը և մեծապես կարևորում է համագործակցությունը Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության, վերջի նիս գործընկեր կառույցների և Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովի հետ:

Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղարը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել համաժողովը Հայաստանում բարձր մակարդակով կազմակերպելու, ինչպես նաև ջերմ հյուրընկալության համար և ընդգծել, որ համաժողովի բավականաչափ հագեցած օրակարգի շրջանակներում Երևանում քննարկվել են կարևորագույն հարցեր, իսկ Հայաստանի կողմից առաջադրված թեման, որպես համաժողովի խորագիր, շատ խորհրդանշական էր, կարևոր ու արդիական:

 Նշելով, որ Ֆրանկոֆոնիան ընդհանուր արժեքներ կրող երկրների դաշինք է, որտեղ Հայաստանն ունի իր առանձնահատուկ և կարևոր տեղը, Միկայել Ժանը վստահեցրել է, որ կազմակերպության շրջանակներում նոր հնարավորություններ ու հորիզոններ են բացվում լայն համագործակցության համար: Ըստ Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղարի, Ֆրանկոֆոնիան ամբողջ աշխարհում կարողացել է հաստատվել որպես կարևոր դերակատար և վստահելի գործընկեր, ուստի, անհրաժեշտ է ջանքեր գործադրել կազմակերպության մեծ ներուժը լիարժեք օգտագործելու ուղղությամբ:

Հանրապետության Նախագահի հետ հանդիպմանը տիկին Միկայել Ժանը ներկայացրել է իր պատկերացումները Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության հեռանկարի, զարգացման մեծ հնարավորությունների և այդ գործընթացում Հայաստանի տեղի ու դերի մասին:
