ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահ Գալուստ Սահակյանը հոկտեմբերի 12-ին ընդունել է Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակեպության գլխավոր քարտուղար Միկայել Ժանի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը: Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ողջունելով հյուրերին խորհրդարանում՝ Գալուստ Սահակյանը կարեւորել է Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի 31-րդ համաժողովի անցկացումը Հա յաստանում, ինչը վկայում է Հայաստանը Ֆրանկոֆոնիային կապող ինստիտուցիոնալ հարաբերությունների կարեւորության մասին:
Հանդիպման ընթացքում Գալուստ Սահակյանը կարեւորել է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորման հարցում ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների ջանքերին Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի կողմից ցուցաբերված լիակատար աջակցությունը, որը հերթական անգամ իր արտացոլումը գտավ Դակարի գագաթնաժողովի ժամանակ ընդունված Ֆրանկոֆոն տարածքում ճգնաժամային իրավիճակների, ճգնաժամից դուրս գալու եւ խաղաղության ամրապնդման վերաբերյալ բանաձեւում: Խորհրդարանի ղեկավարը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել տիկին Միկայել Ժանին՝ Հայոց ցեղասպանության 100-րդ տարելիցի կապակցությամբ հատուկ հայտարարությամբ հանդես գալու համար:
Խորհրդարանի ղեկավարը հիշեցրել է, որ այս տարվա մարտի 31-ին ՖԽՎ եվրոպայի տարածաշրջանի սեկցիաների երեւանյան համաժողովը միաձայն բանաձեւ է ընդունել Հայոց ցեղասպանության վերաբերյալ:
Ֆրանկոֆոնիայի միջազգային կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղար Միկայել Ժանը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար, բարձր է գնահատել Հայաստանի ակտիվ մասնակցությունը ՖԽՎ-ում: Միկայել Ժանը, անդրադառնալով Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը, մասնավորապես, ասել է. «Հայաստանի պատմության այդ էջը ողջ աշխարհի համար է: Մենք պետք է միասին ամեն ինչ անենք, որ մարդիկ հիշեն, ճանաչեն եւ պայքարեն, որ այլեւս նման բան չկրկնվի: Հայաստանը պետք է գիտակցի, որ մենակ չէ. մենք միասին ենք»:
