Մասնագետները պնդում են, որ համբույրը կարող է բազմաթիվ հիվանդություններ կանխարգելել։
Մասնագետները դրան գիտական բացատրություն են տալիս. Տևական համբույրը կանոնավորում է բերանի խոռոչի թթվայնությունը: Նրանք պնդում են, որ ուտելուց հետո ամեն անգամ համբուրվելը նվազեցնում է կարիեսի առաջացման ռիսկը։ Կրքոտ համբույրների սիրահարներն զգալիորեն ավելի հազվադեպ են հիվանդանում լնդախտով, քանի որ այդ հիվանդության լավագույն բուժումը մերսումն է:
Իսկ ահա 20 վայրկյան տեւողությամբ հագեցած երեք համբույրն ընդունակ է երկար ժամանակով բարձրացնել տրամադրությունը եւ օրգանիզմում նվազեցնել հիպերտոնիա եւ անքնություն առաջացնող հորմոնների քանակը: Կրքոտ համբույրին մասնակցում են դիմային ավելի քան 30 մկաններ, որի շնորհիվ մաշկը հարթվում է, դառնում ավելի առաձգական, բարելավվում է դեմքի գույնը:
Մասնագետները պնդում են, որ մեկ համբույրի ժամանակ ծախսվում է մոտ 12 կկալ։ Համբուրվելու ընթացքում մենք միմյանց ենք փոխանցում մոտ 7 մգ ճարպեր, 0,7 մգ սպիտակուցներ, 0,45 մգ տարբեր աղեր, մի քիչ վոլֆրամ եւ ոսկի։ Համբուրվելիս մեկ րոպեում սովորական 20 ներշնչման փոխարեն մարդը 60 ներշնչում է կատարում։ Սրտի զարկերն ավելանում են մինչեւ 100–150 հարված մեկ րոպեում, իսկ դա բարելավում է արյան շրջանառությունը։
Բացի այդ, հաճախակի համբուրվելը կանոնավորում է սիրտ–անոթային գործունեությունը, իջեցնում արյան բարձր ճնշումը եւ արյան մեջ խոլեստերինի պարունակությունը։ Ընդ որում, օգտակար է միայն շուրթերով համբուրվելը. այտին չպպացնելը բուժական ոչ մի ազդեցություն չի գործում։
