 Սոցիոլոգ Ահարոն Ադիբեկյանը Հայաստանում անցկացված Ազգային ժողովի ընտրությունները համարում է պատմական նշանակություն ունեցող: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` հունիսի 6-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ «Սոցիոմետր» անկախ սոցիոլոգիական կենտրոնի  ղեկավար Ահարոն  Ադիբեկյանը նշեց, որ այս ընտրությունները Հայաստանը մոտեցրին խորհրդարանական կառավարման համակարգին: Նրա դիտարկմամբ` աշխարհի ամենաերկար ու բարակ հացը՝ լավաշը, հնարել են հայերը, և զարմանալի կլիներ, որ նրանք չմշակեին տնտեսապես էժան ու հակիրճ ընտրություններ, որի ընթացքում կընտրվեր նախագահ, խորհրդարան, մեծամասնական և համամասնական պատգամավոր:

«Մեր քաղաքական համակարգը միջազգային քաղաքագիտական միտքը գնահատում է որպես համակցված: Երբ ժողովրդական համակարգով ընտրված դեմքը, որը պետք է լինի ներկայացուցչական դեմք, իրականում դառնում է ավտորիտար ղեկավար և անում է այն, ինչ ինքն է ցանկանում` հաշվետվություն տալով իր ընտրողներին: Այդ առումով պետք է երկար գործընթաց, քանի որ ժողովրդավարությունը միայն ընտրախցիկ մտնելով ու սեփական կամքով ընտրելը չէ, այն ավելի լայն շրջանակ է` ընտրատեղամասից դուրս: Մենք ռոմանտիկ քաղաքական երազանքներից թևակոխեցինք պրագմատիկ քաղաքական համակարգ»,- ասաց սոցիոլոգը:

Անդրադառնալով մարդկանց ակնկալիքներին՝ Ադիբեկյանը դժվարացավ ասել, որ բոլորը լավատես են, բայց որ նրանք իրենց ձայնը տվել են ՀՀԿ-ին և Կարեն Կարապետյանին համարում են ամենաազդեցիկ և օգտաբեր քաղաքական դեմք, ուրեմն, դեռ հույսերը կորած չեն: «Բնակչության այն հատվածը, որը դեռ կենսախինդ  է, լավատես է, հույսը պահպանում է, իսկ նրանք, ովքեր միայնակ ծերեր են և ոչ լրիվ ընտանիքներ, հուսահատ են»,- ասաց նա:
