WBO վարկածով աշխարհի չեմպիոն Արթուր Աբրահամին շնորհվել է Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում:
«Ես ապրում եմ Երևանում արդեն 35 տարի և, իմ կարծիքով, ամեն մի քաղաքացու երազանքն է դառնալ Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացի: Ես շատ ուրախ և երջանիկ եմ Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքի դառնալու համար: Երևանն իմ երազած քաղաքն է, ես այստեղ ծնվել եմ և այստեղ մեծացել եմ, աշխարհում չկա այդպիսի մի քաղաք, որ Երևանից շատ սիրեմ: Բայց կցանկանայի, որ Երևանն ավելի շատ աճեր և զարգանար, լիներ այնպիսի մի քաղաք, որ ամբողջ աշխարհը ուզենար այցելել»,-Արմենպրես-ի հաղորդմամբ` լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց WBO վարկածով աշխարհի չեմպիոնը:
Դեռևս հոկտեմբերի 8-ին տեղի ունեցած արտահերթ նիստում Երևանի ավագանին միաձայն կողմ քվեարկությամբ հավանություն էր տվել պրոֆեսիոնալ բռնցքամարտիկ, աշխարհի բազմակի չեմպիոն Արթուր Աբրահամին, կոմպոզիտոր, դիրիժոր, ՀՀ արվեստի վաստակավոր գործիչ, ՀՀ ժողովրդական արտիստ, Հայաստանի հանրային ռադիոյի սիմֆոնիկ նվագախմբի գլխավոր դիրիժոր և գեղարվեստական ղեկավար Երվանդ Երզնկյանին, ՀՀ ժողովրդական արտիստ Ռաիսա Մկրտչյանին, երգիչ, ՀԽՍՀ ժողովրդական արտիստ Ռուբեն Մաթևոսյանին «Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացի» կոչում շնորհելու մասին որոշումների նախագծերիÕ ¶:
Արթուր Աբրահամը (Ավետիք Աբրահամյան) ծնվել է 1980 թվականի փետրվարի 20-ին Երեւանում: Գերմանիայի մայրաքաղաք Բեռլինում բնակվում է 2004 թվականից: ՀՀ քաղաքացի լինելուց բացի, 2005 թվականից ունի նաեւ Գերմանիայի քաղաքացիություն:
