Վրաստանի վարչապետ Գեորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլին հունիսի 1-ին կառավարության նիստի ժամանակ իր ելույթում կոչ է արել զերծ մնալ ադրբեջանցի լրագրող Աֆղան Մուխթարլիի գործով «նախնական եզրակացություններից», հայտնում է «Վրաստան օնլայնը»։

«Շատ լավ հասկանում եմ քաղաքացիների ու մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ոլորտում աշխատող ոչ կառավարական սեկտորի հուզումը, սակայն անընդունելի է նախնական եզրակացություններ անելը։ Առավել եւս անընդունելի է պետական անվտանգության մասին հոգ տանող կառույցների վարկաբեկումը»,- հայտնել է վարչապետը։ «Եթե մենք աջակցենք պետական կառույցների հանդեպ վստահության նվազմանը, մեզ համար շատ դժվար կլինի պաշտպանել մեր երկրի անվտանգությունը»,- հայտնել է նա։

Նա կոչ է արել իրավապահ մարմիններին «հնարավորինս կարճ ժամկետներում անել ամեն ինչ, որպեսզի այդ հարցը հետաքննվի ու որպեսզ ի մեր երկրում ոչ ոք կասկած չունենա այն կապակցությամբ , որ մարդու իրավունքները պաշտպանված են»։

Վարչապետ Կվիրիկաշվիլին նշել է, որ Վրաստանի հատուկ ծառայությունների կողմից Աֆղան Մուխթարլիի հնարավոր փոխանցման կապակցությամբ «շահարկումները» «կտրականապես անթույլատրելի են»։ «Բնականաբար, բացառում եմ, որ պետական կառույցները ներառված լինեն նման որեւէ բանի»,- հայտնել է նա ու հավելել, որ «ընթանում է հետաքննություն ու սպասենք հետաքննության եզրակացությանը»։
