 Հայաստանում Ֆրանսիայի դեսպան Ժան-Ֆրանսուա Շարպանտիեն կասկած չունի, որ Եվրամիություն-Հայաստան համաձայնագիրը կստորագրվի:

«Համաձայնագիրը բավականին հստակ եւ երկար բանակցային գործընթացի արդյունք է: Այն բավականին ընդգրկուն է, եւ ես հույս ունեմ, որ նոյեմբերին Բրյուսելում կայանալիք Արեւելյան գործընկերության գագաթնաժողովի ժամանակ այն կստորագրվի: Համաձայնագիրը, նախեւառաջ, կարեւոր դերակատարություն ունի տարածաշրջանում քաղաքական հավասարակշռության հաստատման հարցում»,- լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց Ժան-Ֆրանսուա Շարպանտիեն՝ ընդգծելով, որ Ֆրանսիան մշտապես հանդես է եկել որպես Հայաստան-ԵՄ բանակցությունների ջատագով:

Անդրադառնալով ապրիլի 2-ին Հայաստանում կայացած խորհրդարանական ընտրություններին՝ դեսպանն ասաց, որ դրանք ավելի խաղաղ ու հանդարտ պայմաններում ընթացան։

«Ընդդիմությունը չվիճարկեց Հայաստանում տեղի ունեցած ընտրությունների արդյունքները, թերությունների մասին՝ ընտրակաշառք, ճնշում ընտրողների վրա և այլն, նշվեց զեկույցներում, և դրանք չանտեսվեցին միջազգային կառույցների կողմից: Ցավում եմ, որ ընտրակաշառքի բաժանման դեպքեր գրանցվեցին:  Պետք է ապագայի մասին մտածել: Այն մարդը, ով վերցնում է ընտրակաշառք, չունի քաղաքական հստակ կողմնորոշում ու պատկերացում, իսկ քվե գնողն էլ պատկերացում չունի իր ապագա կարգավիճակի մասին», -եզրափակեց նա:
