ՀՀ Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպան Արման Թաթոյանը ուղերձ է հղել երեխաների իրավունքների պաշտպանության օրվա առիթով: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի աշխատակազմից: Ուղերձում ասվում է.

«Հունիսի 1-ը, որպես երեխաների իրավունքների պաշտպանության միջազգային օր, նշվում է 1950 թվականից: Այդ պաշտպանությունը արդյունավետ և խորքային դարձնելու համար աշխարհում բազմաթիվ կարևոր փաստաթղթեր են ստորագրվել.  1959թվականին  ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր ասամբլեան ընդունել է Երեխաների իրավունքների հռչակագիրը, 1989 թ.՝ Երեխաների իրավունքների մասին կոնվենցիան: Փաստաթղթերն ստորագրած պետությունները պարտավորվել են ձեռնարկել անհրաժեշտ միջոցներ՝ ապահովելու համարերեխայի պաշտպանությունը խտրականության բոլոր ձևերից:

2016 թվականին Հայաստանում ընդունվեց «Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի մասին» սահմանադրական օրենքը: Այն ՀՀ մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանին արտոնում էիրականացնել «Երեխայի իրավունքների մասին» ՄԱԿ-ի կոնվենցիայի դրույթների կիրառության մշտադիտարկում, երեխաների իրավունքների խախտումների կանխարգելում և պաշտպանություն: Անցյալ տարվանից Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի աշխատակազմում գործում է Երեխաների իրավունքների պաշտպանության բաժինը: Իրականացվում են   պարբերական և ըստ անհրաժեշտության այցեր երեխաների խնամք և պաշտպանություն իրականացնող հաստատություններ և հանրակրթական ուսումնական հաստատություններ: Երեխաների իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը, հաշմանդամության խնդիրները,   բռնության և թրաֆիքինգի դեպքերը մշտապես մեր ուշադրության կենտրոնում են:

Երեխաների իրավունքների պաշտպանությանը վերաբերող բոլոր օրենքների հիմքում  երեխայի լավագույն շահն է, իսկ երեխայի իրավունքներից կարևորը ընտանիք ունենալու, ընտանիքում ապրելու իրավունքն է: Պետության պարտականությունն է բոլոր դեպքերում ապահովել երեխայի լավագույն շահը և ստեղծել պայմաններ, որ երեխան մեծանա առողջ, բարեկեցիկ և երջանիկ ընտանիքում: 

Սիրելի երեխաներ, շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ հունիսի 1-ի կապակցությամբ և մաղթում եմ անհոգ մանկություն, երջանիկ ընտանիք և խաղաղ հայրենիք»:
