Թուրքիայի նախագահ Էրդողանը հայտարարել է, որ Անկարան թույլ չի տա ռազմական հեղաշրջման նոր փորձ: Ու թերևս այդ տրամաբանությունից ելնելով է, որ գրեթե ամեն օր տեղեկատվություն է տարածվում նոր ձերբակալությունների մասին:
 
Թուրքիայում մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանություն իրականացնող Ստոկհոլմի ազատության հարցերով կենտրոնի (SCF) տվյալներով, ինչպես նաև ավելի քան 50000 տուժողի փաստաբանների ցուցմունքներով՝ Թուրքիայի ոստիկանական բոլոր բաժանմունքները, քննչական մեկուսարանները և բանտերը վերածվել են ամենադաժան կտտանքների վայրերի: «Հիմքեր կան ենթադրելու, որ ձերբակալվածներին ապօրինաբար ենթարկում են կտտանքների տարբեր վայրերում՝ լքված շինություններում, նախկին ֆաբրիկաներում և այլն: Օրինակ՝ շուրջ 1200 ձերբակալվածներ անմարդկային վերաբերմունքի են ենթարկվում Անկարայի մերձակայքում գտնվող մարզադաշտերից մեկում: Փաստաբանների ցուցմունքներից կարող ենք տեղեկանալ այն մասին, որ մարդկանց հարցաքննության սենյակ են բերում մորեմերկ, նրանց վրա ուղղում ջրի շիթ, կախում, հարվածում մահակներով, սպառնում, վիրավորում»,– նշում են կառույցում:
 
Չստացված ռազմական հեղաշրջան հաջորդ օրս իսկ սկսվել է «քաղաքացիական» հեղաշրջումը, այսպես կոչված, «քաղաքական զտումները»: Առ այսօր ձերբակալվել է 154694 մարդ: 130000 պետական ծառայողներ հեռացվել են աշխատանքից: Մտավորականության լավագույն ներկայացուցիչները՝ լրագրողներ, գրողներ, 60–70 տարեկան գիտնականներ ձերբակալվել ու անհիմն կերպով մեղադրվել են հեղաշրջմանը նպաստելու մեջ: Թուրքական բանտերում գտնվող 182 լրագրող դեռ սպասում է իր ձերբակալման պատճառների հրապարակմանը: Հեղաշրջման փորձից հետո երկրում փակվել է 2099 դպրոց, 16 համալսարան, 54 հիվանդանոց, 3520 ձեռնարկություն, 149 լրատվամիջոց:
 
Ձերբակալվածների շարքում են իրավապահ մարմինների աշխատակիցներ, պաշտոնյաներ, քաղաքական գործիչներ, այդ թվում՝ 2431 դատավոր ու դատախազ, Գերագույն դատարանի 104 անդամ, Պետական խորհրդի 41 անդամ, Սահմանադրական դատարանի 2 անդամ, դատավորների ու դատախազների գերագույն խորհրդի 3 անդամ: Ձերբակալվել է 6982 զինվորական, այդ թվում՝ 167 գեներալ, 72 ոստիկանության աշխատակից, 23 նահանգապետ, 72 փոխնահանգապետ, վարչակազմերի 112 ղեկավար, 31550 պաշտոնատար ու քաղաքացիական անձ:
 
Թուրքիայի իշխանությունների ու անձամբ Էրդողանի հետ մտերիմ հարաբերություններ ունեցող որոշ երկրներ այս ընթացքում Թուրքիային են արտահանձնել հեղաշրջման փորձի մեջ մեղադրվող և հետախուզման մեջ գտնվող անձանց: Այս առնչությամբ ՄԱԿ–ի Մարդու իրավունքների հանձնաժողովի ներկայացուցչի հայտարարությունը կոչ է անում աշխարհի բոլոր կառավարություններին «արդյունավետորեն վերանայել այն անձանց արտահանձնելու ընթացակարգերը, ովքեր կարող են վտանգի ենթարկվել Թուրքիա վերադարձվելիս»:
