Եվրոպայի խորհուրդը ԵԽԽՎ-ում Ադրբեջանի կողմից կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի գործով հետաքննություն է սկսել

Եվրոպայի խորհուրդը սկսել է հետաքննություն՝ կապված Ադրբեջանի մասնակցությամբ ԵԽ Խորհրդարանական վեհաժողովում կաշառակերության սկանդալային դեպքի հետ: ԵԽԽՎ մի շարք պաշտոնյաներ մեղադրվում են կաշառքի դիմաց Ադրբեջանի օգտին որոշումներ կայացնելու մեջ: Այս մասին հայտնում է BBC-ն:
Մասնավորապես, կան կասկածներ, որ Ադրբեջանը 2013 թվականին մեծապես ազդել է ԵԽԽՎ որոշման վրա. այդ ժամանակ կառույցը քվեարկության արդյունքում մերժել էր գերմանացի պատգամավոր Քրիստոֆ Շտրասերի կողմից ներկայացված զեկույցը, որը վերաբերում էր Ադրբեջանում մարդու իրավունքների ոտնահարումներին ու կոչ էր անում այդ երկրի իշխանություններին ազատ արձակել քաղբանտարկյալներին: Համաձայն շրջանառվող լուրերի՝ ԵԽԽՎ անդամներից մեկին՝ Լուկա Վոլոնտեին վճարվել է ավելի քան 2.5 մլն ԱՄՆ դոլար, որպեսզի զեկույցը չընդունվի:
ԵԽԽՎ-ում կոռուպցիոն սկանդալի գործը հետաքննելու են երեք հայտնի փաստաբան՝ Մարդու իրավունքների եվրոպական դատարանի նախկին նախագահ Նիկոլաս Բրատցան (Միացյալ Թագավորություն), հակաահաբեկչական հետաքննության գործում ֆրանսիացի հայտնի դատավոր Ժան-Լուի Բրուգիերը (Ֆրանսիա) և ՄԻԵԴ նախկին դատավոր Էլիզաբեթ Ֆուրան (Շվեդիան):
Հետաքննության արդյունքները Եվրոպայի խորհուրդը կհրապարակի 2017 թվականի վերջին: Ադրբեջանը հերքել է ներկայացված բոլոր մեղադրանքները:
Իրավապաշտպան «Եվրոպական կայունության նախաձեռնություն» կազմակերպությունը 2016 թվականի դեկտեմբերին հրապարակել էր զեկույց, որում կատարած ուսումնասիրությունների արդյունքում կային պնդումներ այն մասին, թե ԵԱՀԿ մի խումբ անդամներ Ադրբեջանի օգտին քաղաքական լոբբինգ են իրականացրել՝ դրա դիմաց ադրբեջանական իշխանությունների կողմից գումար ստանալով:
2017 թվականի մարտին ԵԽ գլխավոր քարտուղար Թյորբյորն Յագլանդը ԵԽԽՎ նախագահ Պեդրո Ագրամունտից պահանջել էր «անհապաղ կազմել անկախ հետաքննող հանձնաժողով»: Այս պահանջին կողմ էին արտահայտվել ԵԽԽՎ շատ պատգամավորներ, ովքեր ընդգծել էին, որ «լուրջ ու համոզիչ մեղադրանքները վնասում են վեհաժողովի ամբողջականությանը»:
