ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարը հանդիպել է Համայն Կիպրոսի Արքեպիսկոպոսին

ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Վիգեն Սարգսյանը մայիսի 30-ին հանդիպել է Համայն Կիպրոսի Արքեպիսկոպոս Խրիզոստոմոս Երկրորդի հետ։

Հանդիպման ընթացքում Արքեպիսկոպոս Խրիզոստոմոս Երկրորդը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել Վիգեն Սարգսյանին՝ Կիպրոսի հոգևոր կենտրոն այցելելու համար, ջերմությամբ խոսել երկու ժողովուրդների դարավոր բարեկամության, եկեղեցիների ընդհանրությունների, համամարդկային միևնույն արժեքներին հավատարմության մասին։ Նա առանձնահատուկ շեշտադրել է նաև Կիպրոսի հայ համայնքի դերակատարությունը հայ-կիպրական անխախտ բարեկամության պահպանման գործում։ Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության տեղեկատվության և հ! ասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից:

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար, ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարը հատուկ ընդգծել է քրիստոնեական եկեղեցիների միջև երկխոսության զարգացման անհրաժեշտությունը, կարևորելով ժամանակակից մարտահրավերներին նաև ազգային ինքնության, մշակութային ու հոգևոր արժեքների պահպանման միջոցով դիմակայելու անհրաժեշտությունը։ Պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարն ընդգծել է եկեղեցու պատմականորեն բացառիկ դերը հայ ժողովրդի համար, որը, պետականության բացակայության պայմաններում ինքն է ստանձնել այդ պատասխանատվությունը։

Վիգեն Սարգսյանը Համայն Կիպրոսի Արքեպիսկոպոս Խրիզոստոմոս Երկրորդին ներկայացրել է նաև Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցու առանձնահատուկ դերը բանակաշինության գործում՝ ի դեմս հոգևոր ծառայության, որ իրականացնում են գնդերեցները զինված ուժերում։ Զրուցակիցները համակարծիք են եղել, որ երկու եկեղեցիների միջև ձևավորված ամուր կապերը նպաստում են նաև միջպետական կապերի ամրապնդմանն ու հարաբերությունների խորացմանը։
