Բավականին դժվար է զարմացնելը փորձառու զբոսաշրջիկին, ով հաճախ է ինքնաթիռ նստում։ Դժվար է, սակայն անհնարին չէ, քանի որ գոյություն ունեն ինքնաթիռների մասին մի շարք մանրամասներ, որոնց մասին շատ քչերը գիտեն։

Ինքնաթիռի պատուհանը կազմված է երեք ապակիներից. արտաքինը դիմադրում է ճնշումների տատանմանը, ներքինը պաշտպանում է ներքին վնասվածքներից, իսկ մեջտեղինը, որի վրա էլ գտնվում է այդ անցքը, նախատեսված է օդի շրջանառությունը կարգավորելու համար։ Այդ անցքը օգնում է բալանսավորել ներքին և արտաքին ճնշումների տարբերությունը, ինչպես նաև խոչընդոտում է ապակիների գոլորշապատմանը։
Օգնող ուժային համակարգ
Ինքնաթիռի վայրէջքի ժամականակ մենք մշտապես աղմուկ ենք լսում, սակայն այդ պահին շարժիչներն անջատված են։ Այդ աղմուկն առաջացնում են օգնող ուժային համակարգերը, որոնք ապահովում են ինքնաթիռի համակարգերի գործունեությունը շարժիչների անջատման ժամանակ։ Էներգիայի այդպիսի փոքրիկ կայանները չափազանց կարևոր են ինքնաթիռի անվտանգության համար։
