«Ավրորա» 2017 թվականի մրցանակաբաշխությանը տեսակապով ներկաներին ողջունեց մրցանակաբաշխության ընտրող հանձնաժողովի համանախագահ, օսկարակիր դերասան եւ հումանիտար գործիչ Ջորջ Քլունին:
«Ցավում եմ, որ այսօր ձեզ հետ չեմ, բայց անկեղծորեն կարող եմ ասել, որհոգեպես եմ ձեզ հետ: Որպես ընտրող հանձնաժողովի համանախագահ, կարող եմ ասել, որ տպավորված եմ այս տարվա մրցանակաբաշխությանհավակնորդներով, նրանցից յուրաքանչյուրը մերօրյա հերոս է, անհատ, ովվտանգի է ենթարկում իր կյանքը մեծ կարիքի մեջ հայտնված մարդկանցօգնելու համար: Ամեն օր լսում ենք նորություններ պատերազմների, հակամարտությունների մասին, մարդու իրավունքի խախտումների մասին, բայց մահերի եւ ոչնչացումների վրա կենտրոնանալու փոխարեն, ինչը մենքպետք է անենք եւ անում ենք, եկեք կենտրոնանք այն մարդկանցաշխատանքի վրա, ովքեր փոփոխություն են անում այն մարդկանց նման, ովքեր 1915 թվականին հայերի համար արեցին: Հավակնորդներիցյուրաքանչյուրը դերային մոդել է, ով ապացուցում է, որ անհատը իրոքկարող է փոփոություն կատարել»,- ասաց Քլունին՝ ընդգծելով, որ ներգրավված յուրաքանչյուր անձ ունի մեծ պատասխանատվություն այդ դրական փոփոխությունը կատարելու գործում։
