«Ավրորա»-ի շնորհիվ շատ երկրներ իմացան Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին

Նյու Յորքի Կարնեգի կորպորացիայի նախագահ, «Ավրորա» մարդասիրական նախաձեռնության համահիմնադիր եւ «Ավրորա» մրցանակի ընտրող հանձնաժողովի անդամ Վարդան Գրեգորյանը կարծում է, որ մարդիկ իրենց օրինակով պետք է ցույց տան, որ հասարակության, մարդկության համար են, այլ ոչ թե լոկ իրենց շահերի: «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին նա ասաց Aurora Dialogues քննարկումների շրջանակում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում:
«Ցավում եմ, որ այնպիսի օրեր ենք ապրում, որ մարդիկ ոչնչի չեն հավատում, որովհետեւ նրանց դավաճանել են, խաբել են, նրանք այնքան հիասթափված են, որ չեն հավատում: Երբ որ այսպիսի վիճակում ենք, ստեղծում ենք դատարկություն, որ չի լցվում որեւէ բանով: Ինչպես երեկ ասացի, մենք ներկայիս բանտարկյալներն ենք, ապագայի մասին գաղափար չունենք, անցյալի մասին տեղեկություն չունենք, միայն զբաղված ենք մեր գործերով: Պետք է գաղափարական խորհուրդ ունենաս ինքդ քո մեջ, որը հավատ կբերի քեզ ինքդ քո հանդեպ»,-նշեց նա:
Հարցին, թե ինչ է կարծում այն մտահոգությունների մասին, որ Հայաստանը նման խնդիրներ ունենալով հանդերձ մեծ գումարներ է փոխանցում խնդիրներ ունեցող այլ երկրներին, Վարդան Գրեգորյանը պատասխանեց.
«Մենք հայերս միշտ ազգայնացրել եւ սահմանափակել ենք ինքներս մեզ, պետք է միջազգային ձեւով մտածել. Կոնգոյում արդեն խոսում են Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին, զբոսաշրջիկները, ովքեր երբեք այստեղ չեն եկել, գալիս են, արտասահմանի հայերն ասում են, որ օտարները նույնիսկ ճանաչում են մեզ: Մենք սահմանափակվել ենք մեր մեջ եւ կարծում ենք, որ բոլորը պետք է օգնեն մեզ, բայց, նախևառաջ մենք մեզ պետք է օգնենք: Ես, որ գալիս եմ Հայաստան, տեսնում եմ կազինոները: Մեկը չի քննադատում՝ ինչու են այդքան կազինո կառուցել պալատի նման: Այո, Հայաստանն առաÕ �ադիմել է, շատ խնդիրներ էլ ունի, բայց փոխանակ կազինո կառուցեն, դրանց հիսուն տոկոսը թող գնա դպրոցներին»,-ասաց Վարդան Գրեգորյանը՝ հավելելով, որ շատ հպարտ է աշխարհի տարբեր ծայրերից մարդկանց Հայաստան բերելու համար:
