Անկարան փորձում է ՆԱՏՕ-ի միջոցով ազդել Եվրոպական քաղաքականության վրա

Թուրքիան Ավստրիայի նկատմամբ վետո կիրառելով՝ ցանկանում է անորոշ ժամանակով այդ երկրին դուրս մղել ՆԱՏՕ-ի շրջանակներում իրականացվող գործընկերային ծրագրերից:

Բացի այդ, Թուրքիան վետոի կիրառմամբ ցանկանում է ավստրիական զինվորներին զրկել ՆԱՏՕ-ի բանակների համատեղ զորավարժություններին մասնակցելու հնարավորությունից:
Թուրքիայի Նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը, ՆԱՏՕ-ն օգտագործելով, ցանկանում է ազդել Եվրամիության երկրների վրա:
«Թուրքիան հայտնվել է աշխարհաքաղաքական դժվարին իրավիճակում: Անկարան շատ լավ գիտակցում է, որ երբեք չի կարողանալու անդամակցել ԵՄ-ին, քանի որ նրա անդամակցությանը դեմ են Եվրոպական երկրների մեծ մասը: ՆԱՏՕ-ում, սակայն, Թուրքիան անհրաժեշտ է եվրոպացիներին, քանի որ դա միակ ցամաքային ուժն է, որ կարող է ազդեցություն ունենալ Ռուսաստանի վրա ցամաքային ռազմական գործողություններում: Բացի այդ, ՆԱՏՕ-ն վերահսկվում է ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից և Եվրոպան չի կարող ոչինչ անել Թուրքիային այնտեղից դուրս մղելու ուղղությամբ: Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանը ներկ այումս փորձում է ՆԱՏՕ-ի օգնությամբ ազդել եվրոպական քաղաքականության վրա: Պայմանավորված այն հանգամանքով, որ ՆԱՏՕ-ն վերահսկվում է ԱՄՆ-ի կողմից, Թուրքիան կարող է հոխորտալ, եվրոպական քաղաքականության վրա ազդելու փորձեր կատարել, բայց միայն ԱՄՆ-ի աջակցությամբ»,- անդրադառնալով Թուրքիայի կողմից Ավստրիայի նկատմամբ վետոի կիրառմանը՝ նշել է ռազմական փորձագետ Լեոնիդ Իվաշովը:
Թուրքիայի և Ավստրիայի միջև հարաբերություններում առաջացած ճգնաժամն անդրադարձել է նաև ՆԱՏՕ-ում նրանց համագործակցության վրա:
Մարտին ֆրանսիական AFP-ին ՆԱՏՕ-ին մոտ կանգնած աղբյուրը հայտնել էր, որ չեղյալ են համարվել երկու երկրի միջև համատեղ կրթական ծրագրերը:
Թուրքիայի և Ավստրիայի միջև քաղաքական ճգնաժամը սկսվեց, երբ Վիեննան 2016 թվականի ամառվանից սկսեց հայտարարել Եվրամիությանը Թուրքիայի անդամակցությանը դեմ լինելու մասին: Իսկ Ավստրիայի արտգործնախարար Սեբաստիան Կուրցը 2016 թվականի դեկտեմբերին պահանջել էր, որ սառեցվեն Թուրքիայի անդամակցության շուրջ բանակցությունները:
Թուրքիայում 2017-ի ապրիլին տեղի ունեցած սահամանադրական հանրաքվեի քարոզարշավի նախօրեին Ավստրիայի արտգործնախարար Սեբաստիան Կուրցը հայտարարել էր, որ Էրդողանը կարող է այցելել Ավստրիա կամ ցանկացած այլ եվրոպական երկիր, սակայն «չի կարող Թուրքիայի ընտրական քարոզարշավը տեղափոխել Ավստրիա»:
