Եվրամիությունը պատրաստակամ է ընդլայնել ու խորացնել հարաբերությունները Հայաստանի հետ: Այս մասին մայիսի 23-ին Բրյուսելում տեղի ունեցած Հայաստան-ԵՄ համագործակցության խորհրդի նիստի արդյունքներով հրավիրված մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ ասել է ԵՄ արտաքին գործերի և անվտանգության քաղաքականության բարձր ներկայացուցիչ, Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ Ֆեդերիկա Մոգերինին, ո վ դրական ու կառուցողական է որակել ՀՀ արտգործնախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանի հետ հանդիպումը:
Մոգերինին նշել է, որ կողմերը քննարկել են իրենց հարաբերություններում հետագա քայլերը, մասնավորապես կապված ԵՄ-Հայաստան նոր համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի ստորագրման հետ:
«Եվրամիությունը պատրաստակամ է ընդլայնել ու խորացնել հարաբերությունները Հայաստանի հետ: Պատրաստ ենք շարունակել աջակցել Հայաստանում իրականացվող բարեփոխումներին տարբեր ոլորտներում, որոնց շարքում են տնտեսական զարգացումը, գործարար միջավայրը, մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը, կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարը՝ հարցեր, որոնք շատ կարևոր են Հայաստանի քաղաքացիների համար: Մենք խոսել ենք այն արժեքներից, որոնք կիսում ենք՝ ժողովրդավարություն, մարդու իրավունքներ, օրենքի գերակայություն»,- նշել է Մոգերինին:
Նիստի ժամանակ անդրադարձ է կատարվել նաև Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորման հարցին: «Եվրամիությունը հավատացած է, որ ստատուս-քվոն անկայուն է, և որ հակամարտությունը պետք է կարգավորվի բացառապես խաղաղ ճանապարհով՝ համաձայն միջազգային իրավունքի: ԵՄ-ն շարունակում է լիակատար աջակցություն ցուցաբերել ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի միջնորդական ջանքերին և առաջարկներին»,- ասուլիսի ժամանակ ընդգծել է Եվրամիության ներկայացուցիչը:
Նա ընդգծել է, որ ՀՀ արտգործնախարարի հետ քննարկել են նաև հարցերի ավելի լայն շրջանակ, այդ թվում և իրադրությունը Սիրիայում: Քննարկված թեմաների շրջանակում է եղել նաև հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունների կարգավորման հարցը: «Եվրամիությունն աջակցություն է հայտնել Հայաստանի ու Թուրքիայի միջև հարաբերությունների կարգավորմանը՝ կոչ անելով կողմերին ներգրավվելու այդ գործընթացում առանց նախապայմանների»,- հայտարարել է Մոգերինին:
