 Հետաքրքիր զարգացումներ են սպասվում ԱՄՆ-Թուրքիա հարաբերություններում։ Մի կողմից Էրդողանի փաստացի տապալված այցը ԱՄՆ, որի ժամանակ էքսցենտրիկ Թրամփը նրան ընդունել էր մի քանի րոպեով, մյուս կողմից Տեխաս նահանգի կողմից Ցեղասպանության ճանաչումը, իսկ այնուհետ, Երուսաղեմում Թրամփի նկարվելը հայ հոգևորականների հետ ու ընդհանրապես հայկական մշակույթին ծանոթացման փորձերը, բավականին շատ են մի քանի օրվա համար։

Այս ամենի մասին, իհարկե մենք գրում ենք ուրախացած ու այդ ամենը տարածում բոլոր սոցիալական ու լրատվական կայքերով, ասել կուզե ՝ նորից համազգային էքստազի մեջ ենք։ Այս պարագայում, ինձ զարմացնում է առնվազն մի քանի հանգամանք, ինչպե՞ս կարող ենք ունենալ այսքան կարճ հիշողություն, պատմությունից ոչինչ չսովորենք ու հերթական անգամ, հայկական հարց եզրաբանությունը դարձնենք դիվանագիտական մանրադրամ։ Այս մասին, արդեն խոսել է մեր հայտնի պատմաբանը։

Գանք ԱՄՆ ակնկալիքներին Թուրքիայից։ Գաղտնիք չէ, որ գերտերությունները՝ Անգլիան, Ֆրանսիան, Գերմանիան, Ռուսաստանը ու հիմա էլ ԱՄՆ-ն, հայկական հարցը կամ Ցեղասպանությունը միշտ էլ օգտագործել են որպես գործիք, Թուրքիայից որոշակի զիջումներ կորզելու համար։ Չէինք ուզենա անդրադառնալ այդ բոլոր գործընթացներին։ 
Թուրքիան փորձում է դառնալ տարածաշրջանային գերիշխող, սա իհարկե, ձեռնտու չէ նախ և առաջ ԱՄՆ-ին։ Նրան պետք է ուժեղ, բայց միայն իրեն ենթակա Թուրքիա։ Դառնալով տարածաշրջանային ուժեղ կամ գերակա գործոն, բնականաբար, այդ երկիրը կփորձի թոթափել ամերիկյան որոշակի լծակներ։ Այստեղ, իհարկե կարող ենք առաջնորդվել վերջին տարիների արմատացած տեսակետով, այն է ՝ Քուրդիստանի ստեղծում։ Այս գաղափարով մոտիվացված հայ հայրենասերներն այնքան են խորացել, որ մոռացել են, եթե ստեղծվում է Քուրդիստան, ապա իրենց պահանջատիրության հարցը դուրս է գալիս։

Մյուս կողմից, ԱՄՆ-ն կարող է ստիպել Թուրքիային սիրիական ճգնաժամում այնպես խաղալ, ինչպես իրեն է ձեռնտու։ Բացի այդ, պետք է սահմանափակել Թուրքիայի սանձարձակ գործողությունները ԻԼԻՊ-ի դեմ պայքարում։ Այն վաղուց, դուրս է եկել ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարի շրջանականերից ու վերածվել է Թուրքիայի ղեկավարության համար հարստացման միջոցի։ ԱՄՆ ունեցած ակնկալիքների մասով, կիմանանք շատ շուտով։
