Ռախոյը Կատալոնիայի իշխանություններին մեղադրել Է իսպանացիներին շանտաժի ենթարկելու մեջ

Իսպանիայի վարչապետ Մարիանո Ռախոյը կարծում Է, որ Կատալոնիայի իշխանությունները պետությանը, ժողովրդավարությանը եւ իսպանացիներին շանտաժի են ենթարկում՝ օրինագիծ մշակելով Իսպանիայից ինքնավար հանրակցության անկախանալու մասին: 
Ավելի վաղ El Paվs թերթը հայտնել Էր, որ Կատալոնիայի իշխանությունները մշակել են մեխանիզմ, որը նրանք գործի կդնեն Իսպանիայի կազմից ինքնավար հանրակցության դուրս գալու գործընթացում. անկախ այն բանից՝ կանցկացվի արդյոք Իսպանիայի կառավարության հետ համաձայնեցված անկախության հանրաքվե, թե ոչ: Այսպես կոչված «Իրավաբանական անցման» օրենքը, որի նախագծին հասու Է դարձել թերթը, երկու տարով կփոխարինի Սահմանադրությանը, քանի դեռ Կատալոնիայի խորհրդարանը «կիրականացնի Կատալոնիա խորհրդարանական հանրապետության ստեղծման գործընթացը»:
«Նրանք շանտաժի են ենթարկում պետությանը, ժողովրդավարությանը եւ իսպանացիներին: Մենք դա չենք ընդունի»,-հայտարարել Է Ռախոյը մամուլի ասուլիսում՝ մեկնաբանելով El Paվs-ի հրապարակումը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ դա «ամենալուրջ բանն Է», ինչը նա տեսել Է իր «ողջ քաղաքական կարիերայի ընթացքում»: 
Ռախոյը հավելել Է, որ Պատգամավորների կոնգրեսում կատալոկական հարցը քննարկելու առաջարկությունը, որը կառավարության կողմից առաջադրվել Է անցյալ շաբաթ, մնում Է ուժի մեջ: 
«Մենք բնավ չենք համարում, որ երկխոսության լծակներն սպառված են: Թող Պուչդեմոնը (Կատալոնիայի կառավարության նախագահ Կառլես Պուչդեմոնը) հրապարակի իր առաջարկությունները: Այն, ինչ հրապարակված Է, շանտաժ Է, նման բան Իսպանիայում վաղուց չեն տեսել: Դա իրավական պետության ոչնչացում Է»,-ասել Է Իսպանիայի վարչապետը, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
