Վենեսուելայի նախագահ Նիկոլաս Մադուրոն հակակառավարական ակցիաների մասնակիցներին մեղադրել Է Կարակասում իշխանությունների կողմնակիցներից մեկին հրկիզելու մեջ: Իսկ երկրի արեւմուտքում բողոքի ակցիայի ընթացքում գնդակահարվել Է ընդդիմադիր մի ակտիվիստ: Այսպիսով, Վենեսուելայում բողոքների ներկայիս ալիքի ընթացքում սպանվածների թիվը հասել Է 48-ի, տեղեկացնում Է BBC-ն:
Ինչպես նշվում Է, Կարակասում հակակառավանրական ցույցի ընթացքում 21-ամյա Օռլանդո Խոսեին հրկիզել են՝ նրան կասկածելով գողության մեջ: Նա փրկվել Է, բայց մարմնի 80 տոկոսի այրվածքներ Է ստացել: Բացի այդ, նրա մարմնի վրա դանակով հասցված վերքեր են գտել: Ելույթ ունենալով ազգային հեռուստատեսությամբ՝ նախագահ Մադուրոն հայտարարել Է, թե երիտասարդի վրա հարձակվել են սոսկ այն բանի համար, որ նա իրեն հայտարարել Է հանգուցյալ նախագահ Ուգո Չավեսի կողմից ստեղծված շարժման անդամ:
Մինչդեռ Վենեսուելայի գլխավոր դատախազը հայտնել Է, որ Վալերա քաղաքում անհայտ անձինք կրակ են բացել հակակառավարական ցույցի մասնակիցների վրա՝ վիրավորելով մի քանի մարդու: Նրանցից մեկը՝ Էդի Ալեխանդրո Տերան Ագուիլարը, մահացել Է:
Ընդամենն այդ քաղաքում ցույցերի ընթացքում մեկ օրում տուժել Է 46 մարդ:
Վենեսուելայում ապրիլի սկզբից բողոքի զանգվածային ակցիաներ են սկսվել այն բանից հետո, երբ Գերագույն դատարանը որոշեց լրջորեն սահմանափակել ընդդիմադիր Ազգային ժողովի իշխանությունը: Որոշումը չեղյալ Է հայտարարվել, բայց ընդդիմության կողմնակիցները փողոցներ են դուրս եկել պահանջելով դատարանի անդամների պաշտոնաթողությունը եւ վաղաժամկետ ընտրությունների անցկացում: Այժմ նրանք բողոքում են նաեւ Սահմանադիր ժողովի գումարման դեմ՝ այն համարելով սահմանադրությունը փոխելու փորձ:
