«Մենք ոչ միայն ցանկանում ենք, այլ նաև պարտավոր են հաղթել Եվրոպայի Լիգայում: Դա Չեմպիոնների լիգա դուրս գալու մեր շանսն է: «Մանչեսթեր Յունայթեդը» այն թիմը չէ, որը երեք տարի անընդմեջ պետք է խաղա Եվրոպայի լիգայում:
Դա իմ կյանքի ամենակարևոր խաղերից մեկն է լինելու: Չեմ ցանկանում բաց թողնել այդ հնարավորությունը: Մտածում եմ այդ խաղում միայն հաղթելու մասին: Եթե հաղթենք Եվրոպայի Լիգայում, ապա դա գերազանց մրցաշրջան կլինի մեր համար, քանի որ մենք արդեն նվաճել ենք երկու տիտղոս, և սա կլինի երրորդը: Ես չեմ նյարդայնանալու:
Գիտեմ, թե ինչպես հաղթահարել ճնշումը, ինչպես պատրաստվել այդ խաղին: Պետք է պարզապես ցույց տալ այն ամենը, ինչին ընդունակ ենք: Տեսել եմ «Այաքսի» մի քանի հանդիպում: Դա երիտասարդ թիմ է՝ հիանալի խաղացողներով: Կարող եմ ասել, որ նրանք շատ ագրեսիվ են: Նրանք խաղալու են իրենց բնորոշ ֆուտբոլը», ասել է Մխիթարյանը
