Վերջին տարիներին «ճանապարհորդող» միայնակ երեխաների թիվն աննախադեպ չափերի է հասել

ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ–ի վերջին զեկույցի համաձայն աշխարհում միայնակ ճանապարհորդող, փախստական և միգրանտ երեխաների թիվը 2010–ի համեմատ աճել է հինգ անգամ: Ամենամեծ աճը, սակայն գրանցվել է անցած 2015–16 թվականների ընթացքում: Այս ընթացքում 300 հազարից ավելի միայնակ և առանց ուղեկցողի երեխա է հայտնաբերվել և գրանցվել մոտ 80 երկրում:
 
Զեկույցի համաձայն նման երեխաների տեղափոխությունների դրդապատճառները տարբեր են՝ ծնողին տրված բարձր եկամտաբեր աշխատանքի խոստումից մինչև բարձրակարգ կրթություն ստանալու հնարավորություն, սակայն ուսումնասիրությունները ցույց են տվել, որ նման խոստումները հիմնականում սուտ են լինում:
 
 
«Լավ մարդ» դառնալու ծնողի ցանկությունը հաճախ պատճառ է դառնում, որ երեխան հայտնվի մաքսանենգությամբ և թրաֆիքինգով զբաղվող այս կամ այն ցանցում: Իսկ այդտեղ հայտնվելուց հետո սկսվող պատմությունները գրեթե նույն սցենարով են ընթանում՝ բռնություններ, սեռական և ֆիզիկական շահագործում, ստրկացում, վաճառք և այլն:
 
Միայն 2015–16 թվականներին առանց ուղեկցորդի 100 հազար երեխա է հայտնաբերվել ԱՄՆ–Մեքսիկա սահմանին, իսկ 160 հազար երեխա էլ ապաստան է հայցել եվրոպական մի շարք երկրներում:
 
Ի դեպ, 2016–ին ծովով Իտալիա ժամանած երեխաների 92%–ը եղել են առանց ծնողների և ուղեկցողների:
 
Այս իրողությունից ելներով Իտալիայում կայանալիք Մեծ յոթնյակի գագաթաժողովին ընդառաջ ՅՈՒՆԻՍԵՖ–ը կոչ է արել գերտերությունների կառավարություններին, փախստական և միգրանտ երեխաների անվտանգության ապահովման նպատակով վեց կետից բաղկացած գործողությունների օրակարգ ընդունել:
 
 
Մասնավորապես՝ պաշտպանել փախստական և միգրանտ, հատկապես առանց ուղեկցորդի երեխաներին բռնությունից և շահագործումից, երեխաներին կալանավորելու փոխարեն ընտրել նրան հսկողության տակ պահելու այլընտրանքային ուղիներ, կապ ապահովել երեխաների ծնողների հետ: Բացի այդ, առաջարկվել է երեխաներին շնորհել օրինական կարգավիճակ, հնարավորություն ստեղծել, որ նրանք ուսում ստանան, օգտվել որակյալ առողջապահական և այլ ծառայություններից: Կոչ է արվել նաև երկրներին, որ տրանզիտ կամ վերջնական երկրներում խրախուսել քսենոֆոբիայի խտրականության և մարգինալիզացիայի դեմ պայքարը:
