Exciting: The atmosphere was incredible on the carpet as an endless string of photographers snapped away at the celebrities

Preparations underway: Staff had been busy preparing the famous red carpeted steps all day at the stunning Palais des Festivals

Gorgeous: Falling into a saucy semi-sheer V neck at the top, the dress then upped the glamour with its stunning tulle skirt, which fell beneath a chiffon layer of shimmering red crystals

Still got it: The beauty, who rose to fame in the 1990s, proved she only got better with age as she flashed her winning smile at the cameras

Snapping away: The stars were surrounded by endless photographers as they documented the girls' time on the carpet

So good to meet you! Stars rushed over to greet Susan, including model Bella Hadid

Glitz: She accessorised with a statement red and silver choker

Star quality: Stealing the limelight from the young whippersnappers however was Susan Sarandon, who proved her effortless sense of style and glamour has certainly not faded over the years

You caught me off guard! The Zero Dark Thirty star oozed natural glamour as she posed effortlessly on the carpet

Stunning: As a young muse of Chanel director Karl Lagerfeld, the 17-year-old's striking natural beauty was clear for all to see as she left her hair in simple curls, and added glowing make-up to her enviably clear skin

Pose for me: Lily-Ross proved her blossoming talent as a model as she posed effortlessly for cameras

Beautiful: Her stunning facial features, accentuated with a soft nude lip and delicate black eyeliner, were clear for all to see as she stunned cameras

Classic: Emily exuded old-school glamour as she posed for a number of photographs

Model material: Channelling her inner Audrey Hepburn, the brunette swept her hair up into a sophisticated up-do, complete with vintage bangs, and a sultry, smoky eye as she delivered her famous smoulder on the carpet

Daddy's girl: Bella headed to the event with her father Mohamed (R) - with the pair seen leaving the Martinez Hotel earlier on to embark on their glam evening

Risky: The culprit of her unfortunate incident was her eye-wateringly high split at the front, which left almost all of her long and lean legs, which shot her to model stardom, on show
