Երեկ՝ հունիսի 12-ին ,Բաքվում մեկնարկեցին Եվրոպական առաջին խաղերը, որոնք կտևեն մինչև հունիսի 28-ը: Քսան մարզաձև ներկայացնող մարզիկները կպայքարեն 253 մեդալի համար: Հայաստանի թիմը բաղկացած է 7 մարզիկներից: Մեր պատվիրակության ղեկավարն է Հայաստանի ազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեի գլխավոր քարտուղար Հրաչյա Ռոստոմյանը:

Չնայած նրան, որ նավթի գներն անկում են ապրում և Ադրբեջանի ազգային արժույթն արժեզրկվել է 30 տոկոսով, ադրբեջանական պետությունը մեծ գումարներ է ծախսել խաղերի անցկացման համար:

Past.am-ը զրուցել է «Միջազգաին և անվտանգության հարցերի հայկական ինստիտուտի» հիմնադիր նախագահ Ստյոպա Սաֆարյանի հետ և ճշտել՝ որքանո՞վ է Ադրբեջանը կարողանում այս խաղերը ծառայեցնել իր քարոզչական նպատակների համար և այդ համատեքստում ճի՞շտ էր մեր մասնացությունը:

Վերլուծաբանը նշեց. «Ադրբեջանն իր համար ոչ նպաստավոր իրավիճակում նպատակ էր դրել աշխարհին ցուցադրել իր ուժն ու հզորությունը,- ինչպես այսօր մեկնաբանել է Ադրբեջանի արտգործանախարարության մամուլի խոսնակը: Սա առաջին միջոցառումը չէ, որ հետապնդում է նման նպատակ: Ադրբեջանը ոչ միայն իր հանրությանը, այլ նաև աշխարհին փորձում է ցույց տալ, որ տարածաշրջանի ամենալուրջ և առանցքային պետություններից մեկն է:

Քանի որ դա ուժի ցուցադրություն է, Հայաստանը պետք է շատ ծանրութեթև աներ մասնակցության հարցը, որովհետև աշխարհում զգալի շրջանակներ բոյկոտում են այդ միջոցառումը և գտնում են, որ Ալիևի կազմակերպած միջոցառումն ամենևին էլ համահունչ չէ օլիմպիական սկզբունքների հետ՝ խաղաղասիրության, մարդասիրության, խոսքի ազատության և այլ առումներով: Սա հարմար առիթ էր, որպեսզի Հայաստանը նույնպես բոյկոտի: Կարծում եմ, որ Հայաստանը ճիշտ որոշում չի կայացրել և նա չպետք է մասնակցեր ուժի այդ ցուցադրությանը»:
