Այսօր հերոս Մանվել Գեւորգյանի ծննդյան օրն է։ Սանհրահանգիչ Մանվելը զոհվել էր նախորդ տարվա ապրիլի 14-ին Արցախի Մարտունու շրջանում՝ հերոսաբար պայքարելով հակառակորդի անհավասար ուժերի դեմ, հետ մղելով դիվերսիոն ներթափանցման փորձը, մինչ մարտական ընկերները օգնության կհասնեին: 

Ինչպես հերոսի ուսուցչուհին՝ Արմինե Մելիքյանն ասում է, Մանվելը ծնված էր խաղաղության համար, որովհետեւ որտեղ էլ լիներ, այնտեղ միշտ խաղաղ էր։  

«4-9-րդ դասարաններում Մանվելին դասավանդել եմ հայոց լեզու եւ գրականություն, եղել եմ նրա դասղեկը ավագ դասարաններում, քանի որ ուսումը մեզ մոտ շարունակեց։  Եթե այսպես  պատկերավոր բնութագրեմ, Մանվելը հոսող ջրի նման էր. այ, ինչպես է հոսող ջուրը շարժվում առաջ եւ անգամ ինչ-որ քարի, խոչընդոտի հանդիպելիս կողքից անպայման ճեղք է տալիս ու շարունակում է ճանապարհը։ Այդպիսի աշակերտ էր Մանվելը՝  նպատակասլաց, հավասարակշռված,  ամեն ինչ անում էր, որ անպայման ինքնակատարելագործվի, ու ոչ մեկին անգամ չէր ուզում  նեղություն տալ։ Ոչ մի բան իմÕ �ջիայլոց չէր անի, այլ հստակ նպատակադրված, կարեւորը՝ իր ուժերով։ Չէր էլ սիրում, որ ինչ-որ մեկն իր փոխարեն անի, կատակով ասում էր՝ բոյիս մի խաբվեք։ Խաղաղ էր Մանվելը թե´ իր հետ, թե´ աշխարհի»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում պատմում է ուսուցչուհին։

Մանվելը շատ էր սիրում դպրոցը, վերջին անգամ երբ ծառայությունից վերադարձել էր արձակուրդի, ամեն օր դպրոցում էր լինում, ուսուցիչների հետ զրուցում։

«Դպրոցում առարկաներից հատկապես սիրում էր պատմությունը, բայց արդեն ավագ դասարաններում կենտրոնացավ կենսաբանության վրա, ինչը շատ օգտակար եղավ հետագա ուսման համար, որովհետեւ որոշել էր սովորել Ֆիզկուլտ ինստիտուտի ադապտիվ ֆիզկուլտուրայի բաժնում։ Այ, ինչու եմ ասում՝ ամեն ինչ ինքնուրույն էր սիրում անել, որովհետեւ հնարավորություն կար, որ գնար կենսաբանության պարապմունքների,  բայց ասում էր՝ կենսաբանության եղածն ինչ է, որ չկարողանամ ինքնուրույն  հաղթահարել, ու սովորում էր, շատ էր աշխատում, որ ծնողներին նեղություն չտար։  Շատ շփվող էր, իրեն շատ լավ էր զգում ընկերական միջավայրում։ Չնայած մի շատ մտերիմ ընկեր ուներ, բայց բոլորի հետ հավասար ընկերություն էր անում, ու կապ չունի՝ աղջիկ, թե տղա։ Էքսկուրսիաների ամենաակտիվ աշակերտներից էր, կազմակերպիչների հետ հավասար գնում, առեւտուր էր անում»։  

Ուսուցչուհին  դպրոցում է իմացել Մանվելի հետ կատարված դեպքի մասին, սակայն մինչեւ վերջ հավատացել է, որ ինչ-որ սխալմունք է եղել։

«Դե, սկզբում նրա ազգանունը սխալ էին գրել, չէինք ուզում հավատալ։ Իր փոքր մարմնով այդ հաղթական արարքն է արել մեր Մանվելը, թեկուզ սպասում էինք մեր բոլոր տղաներից, որովհետեւ մեր այս երիտասարդները մի տեսակ է ուրիշ են, նրանց մեջ չկա այդ կեղծ հայրենասիրությունը։  Մանվելին միշտ կենդանի եմ հիշելու. ինչպես եւ մեր հերոսի մասին մի փոքր հոդված վերնագրեցի հայտնի տողերով՝  հավերժ կապրի քո հոգին ապրողների հոգիներում»։

Ապրիլյան պատերազմի հերոս Մանվել Գևորգյանը ծնվել է 1997 թվականի մայիսի 14-ին Երևանում:
